Thanks Eric. I can see it’s updated now.
Thanks for this, I use it all the time to plan my rides. I’m 74 and waiting (about 12 months) to get a new hip. I’m under medical instructions not to ride steep hills, so I either ride on our local velodrome or on Zwift. This resource lets me plan accordingly. 5 stars from me 😎
If you turn down trainer difficulty (on zwift settings) to zero it will give the same effect as always riding on the flat. Been useful to me as I’m recovering from back problems
Great setting! Recommended!
Thanks, I’ll give it a try 😎
Super useful. Thank you.
Useful page – bookmarked.
It would be good to see Zwift include some of the latest routes released so we get to ride them within a group.
Thank you Eric. This page and so many of your other articles have really enhanced my Zwift experience. I like the way pages are linked to other relevant material and everything is explained in just the right amount of detail.
A small suggestionif I may… would it be possible to have the days of the week (Mon, Tues etc) next to the dates above? In planning the ride schedule I’m constantly flicking between this page and a calendar to see what day a particular date is so I can see how it impacts the working week (limited time) vs weekend (more time).
Thank you again for this terrific site.
Day names added above. Good suggestion!
Thank You Eric. Perfect. Ride On!
@Eric Schlange have you heard any discussion or seen many comments about removing drafting capability from the bot? Essentially making it so the bots don’t draft off of other riders. It’s disruptive and something that gets talked about every time I’m riding with one of the pace partners.
They did exactly that once and the change was reverted.
Interesting. I must have missed that. Was it set to where we could draft off the bot, but the bot couldn’t draft? I wonder why they would have reversed that decision.
https://zwiftinsider.com/pace-partners-no-draft/
https://zwiftinsider.com/pace-partners-server-side/
I would guess that people seem to prefer the existing behaviour.
No disruption for me. Someone at the front hammers just enough to not create a gap but enough to do a good pull is part of the ride dynamics. Then of course everyone else behind needs to up their w/kg but it’s all within reason of the range of the bot rating. Yup, range, not a static number.
I’ve noticed that a couple pacers have been scheduled to do some of the newer expansion France routes, but the ones scheduled to do so in the past few days have been notably missing.
Now today, I notice that all robopacers are active in France as they should be, but none are on the scheduled newer roads and routes. My assumption is maybe something about them is causing issues for the pacers. I wonder what’s going here.
Yeah, I’ve reached out to Zwift to see what’s up. The schedule above reflects their internal schedule doc that they shared with me, so my guess is they need to adjust something on the Robopacer server side then the game will match the schedule above.
Coco was doing some climb in France this Monday morning, European time. Other pp in France listed course name in companion, but Coco just said “France” and when I joined her, she was on the ascent up Ventop, so def not RGV, but perhaps some sort of climbing special for the tour fever, as some graphics have shown pps up at the Ventop summit.
Apparently riding on the new France routes didn’t work. Zwift has reverted the schedule back to older France routes, and I’ve updated the schedule above accordingly. Bummer!
Hi Eric, thanks for this page, its under my favorites!
But I wonder how the calculation works.
Did a ride with Miguel 1,8 W/KG but my hud said I was doing only 1,54 W/KG.
I’m 86 kg and 178 cm and do my rides on a Wahoo Kickr V5 that I calibrate regularly.
Easy answer: robopacers weigh 75kg, so your 1.54 W/kg (132W) is very close to Miguel’s 1.8 W/kg (135W). On a flat route, pure watts are a better determiner of speed than W/kg, just like outdoors.
Perhaps helpful if anyone comes across it; just FWIW to plop it in another place, your W of each robot from the robopacer post https://zwiftinsider.com/robopacers/
Taylor – 1.1 W/kg (82W)
Bernie – 1.5 W/kg (112W)
Miguel – 1.8 W/kg (134W)
Maria – 2.2 W/kg (165W)
Coco – 2.6 W/kg (194W)
Yumi – 2.9 W/kg (217W)
Jacques – 3.2 W/kg (240W)
Genie – 3.7 W/kg (276W)
Constance – 4.2 W/kg (315W)
IMHO choosing which one is doing the WATTS you want works better for most any ride scenario…now if we get a robopacer up Le Alpe, different deal, but generalizing: the robopacers ride roads that are “mixed” at their hilliest in terms of which robopacer you would pick. (I am generally generalizing based on my 2000+ miles with robopacers, so I am not trying to start *any* arguments…)
Does Zwift rotate in different Watopia routes throughout the year? Looks like the same 7 routes have been in place for a while.
Yeah, they haven’t changed the Watopia routes in quite some time…
TIP: If you want the best value for both Distance and Climbing from a Robopacer ride, absolutely nothing beats Park Perimeter Loop (New York), at a pace you can sustain for hours. I’ve done the math on this.
Looking forward to the robopacer rides schedule for November. When will these be officially posted? Hopefully some of the new routes in New York will/would be part of those rides.
Posted! Partially, at least.
Hello Erik, the Robopacer calendar is incorrect. Genie is riding in New York today (30.10.2025) on “The 6 Train” route, not in Richmond.😅
Fixed! Zwift modified the schedule this week, and I hadn’t gotten around to updating things…
When the Robopacer swaps at 00:00 GMT it disappears. Your accrued drip multiplier disappears with it.
FYI, FWIW, etcetera.
Thanks for providing this. It’s very helpful in planning my workouts.
Eric, thanks for this info. Have been using Robopacer Taylor since I had a surgery recently. Does Taylor ever bump up to a 1.3 pace?
The RoboPacers increase up to 10% on climbs, and decrease as much as 20% on descents. So the max Taylor would go would be 1.1 * 110%, or 1.21 W/kg…
Just starting to ride with a few pacers. Ideally I’d like 2.0 W/Kg for perfect zone 2, and I swear I found and rode in one of those a week ago. But now I can only find 1.8 and 2.2, and that’s all it looks like going forward. Is 2.0 ever offered, or did I dream it? TIA!
Due to dynamic pacing Miguel will ride at 2.0 uphill and similarly Maria rides at 2.0 going down hill.
i would vote for a 2.0 pacer as the gap between 1.8 and 2.2 is a tough transition and with fewer rides on flat courses this will make the transition even harder
Depending on your weight you can ride with Maria(2.2) at 2.0. I weigh the same as the bot, and ride very close to 2.0 with her.
and if you don’t weigh the same as the bot?
try thinking a little more broadly
NEW ROUTES! YAY!!!!
Need Tempus Fugit back!
I was also thinking that Southern Coast Cruise would be great to have for the robopacer rides (very similar to Tempus Fugit…longer and more scenic (ocean view)).
Not sure if this is the right place. I am currently rehabbing a broken leg. I am very weak to start, and cannot hold “D Taylor” (1.1 w/kg) initially. Once I warm up, I can catch up, but then it is a little too easy, so I want to “teleport” to the next harder one, rather than stop my ride, save, start again. But I find that “Bernie” (1.5 w/kg) is not on the teleport list, and “Miguel” (1.8) is.
So what is the limits of Teleport? The robos are in the same world, but apparently not in the same teleportation zone.
You should be seeing all the Robopacers in the teleport list… there aren’t any limitations, except that you can only teleport to Robopacers in the world you’re currently in. If you aren’t seeing that, I’d report it to Zwift support.
How should I understand that there’s two routes for each bot?
Does it alternate between two routes or does it ride one route repeatedly before switching to the other route?
There’s two bots at that speed at the same time always, on different worlds. Open up zwift and you’ll see you can join two different Coco’s for example.
Bring back tempus fugit and tick tock routes on robochasers. Been on Zwift since 2020 and they are really reliable routes. Looking at the numbers they are extremely popular with zwifters so why have they been pulled? I have raised the issue with Zwift and had zero response. I pay £17.99 per month so it is rather insulting.
Looking at the upcoming March calendar, I see those routes coming back into the rotation. Hopefully Zwift listened to the negative feedback and they’ll keep them in.
The pacer routes are ALL on flat courses, but for you not flat enough? I would like to see some routes on actual climbs but they don’t even have a route over the volcano. I would be all for having tempus in all cats if they could only vary the other routes in even the slightest way.
Can you see where a RoboPacer is on the map before you join the ride?
Also, I rode Watts of the Wild today but did not receive the route badge. Am I missing something?
I went through the orange arch in downtown and kept riding well past it. I ended up doing 70 km and still no badge. Pretty frustrating.
I think if you select the robo pacer so it expands you can see where it is.
I’ve never used a robo pacer to get a route badge (because it feels risky to me) but I imagine you need to go through the start/finish twice, not just do the full route starting at any random point.
You can also just join the robo pacer and see where it is and calculate how long it’ll be approximately until it gets close to the start finish.
Hi Eric I have just finished the Big Spin Stage 1admitedly it was a late join as I had just finished another ride I have done the stage a few times already and have always had a spin for swag on this occasion I was not given the spin, can you tell me can you only do the stage so many times as I was planning to do it again tomorrow Many Thanks
No stage limit that I’m aware of. My guess is it has to do with you late joining.
Where can I find the April calendar?
Here. I just need to add it! (Added a few days just now…)
Thanks
From tomorrow on no more robopacers?
@Eric Schlange Could you please update the schedule? Thanks!
A bunch of us would like to have a 2.4 pacer bot. There would be a significant following of it.
I would really appreciate longer pace partner routes. This week, the B pace partner routes are all <6 miles. Riding those for an hour or more is repetitive and boring. Pace partner routes should be at least 10 miles.
@Eric Schlange The links to Jarvis Seaside Sprint are all broken. You’ve got a space where there should be a dash.
Fixed, thanks!
Who is scheduling these bot rides? They make no sense sometimes.
Example: Coco has the London Classique and the Volcano Flat CCW scheduled tomorrow. They’re both 4km loops. Do the people at Zwift who schedule these things actually ride the platform? Do they actually know the routes? I dunno about you but I don’t want to ride 15 laps of the same route in 90 minutes. The same principle applies to the Duchy Estate, The Classic, Champs-Elysee, Railways to Rooftops, etc. Let’s not do lots of laps. It’s tedious.
Let’s have longer rollers instead, like Wandering Flats, Makuri 40, Innsbruckring, Country to Coastal, Neokyo All-Nighter, Sugar Cookie, Big Ring, RGV, Douce France and Knights of the Roundabout, Outer Scotland, the longer NYC routes and so on. Anything with more than 20km. There are plenty…
I ride with bots to not deal with hot dogs stretching group rides, for drops and for overall consistency. I’ll generally ride with them for 90 minutes. I like primes thrown in. I don’t want short loops that involve lots of laps or are boring, like long climbs or flats like TF or Tick-Tock.
Sorry, that’s my 0.02¢. I love Zwift overall, but lately the bot schedule has been substandard.
Cheers – and thanks for all your good work, Eric – you’re awesome!
Totally agree. It also annoys me that they don’t ever ride the lead-in, which makes it impossible to get route completion for some routes. Would make sense to utilize routes where the lead-in is part of the route loop or give credit if it is less than a certain % of the whole route, especially for longer routes.
Love the Robopacer, any thoughts on having a pacer doing incrementally increased w/kg… Say 5 mins @ 2.2 building up to 4.2w/kg every 5 minutes ? Trying to replicate surges in road races
Would love to have a 2.4 Pacer Bot
I can’t find the Pace Partners anymore, they don’t appear anymore from today
I’m having the same issue today
Same issue. Obviously there were some problems with some of them, I read somewhere, but to take them all out is a bit rash :/
Just checked on Zwift Forum and they’ll be back : https://forums.zwift.com/t/pacer-bots-keep-disappearing/668745/4
FYI : I’m seeing the pacers again
According to the schedule Bernie will be doing Volcano CCW from tomorrow May 25, but I see it’s riding there today already. On Monday it usually changes from where it is riding on Sunday. Wonder where Bernie will be on Monday. Perhaps schedule should be updated? Thanks👍
Where are all the robopacers today?!
Should have scrolled further. I see I’m not alone reporting pace partners missing.
What has happened to the Pace Partner route selection as of late? It seems for the last couple of months, they have been choosing the worst possible routes for COCO and YUMI. Short loops, terrible flow. In addition to using PP to warm up, they are (were) also great for riding hours of base miles. Who in the world wants to spend 3-4 hours doing base miles on laps of the Volcano Circuit, Classic or Two Bridges loop? I logged in today to see the same terrible routes again this week as last week and they are being run all week? And no other worlds are offered. What is the strategy behind this obvious change? To make it so miserable, people will opt for more club rides? I rode YUMI a couple days ago and I was the only person. It was sad and the lack of participation on something once so popular makes Zwift feel like it’s on the decline.
My thoughts too Frank. I’m really hating the pace bots courses. In fact, I’m probably not riding now for 3 or 4 days a week. The new shorter routes are terrible for wanting longer rides. Bring back the better, longer routes. I can’t justify the monthly subs if I’m not using the service.
Why is the schedule only showing one location per robopacer when the homepage in the game itself shows two per robopacer?
It’s showing two as far as I can see …
Hi David. It shows two on the Zwift game itself. I’m talking about the schedule shown above which to me only shows 10 per week which is 1 per pacer
There are only 10 robopacers, each in their own box above. Each box lists the 2 routes that robopacer is on (one in Watopia, one in a guest map).
I keep seeing Route Ma Poule listed. It should be Roule Ma Poule. (Maybe the link will work if it’s corrected.)
Whoops. Fixed!
