Route Description

Route profile by ZwiftHub – the place to plan and track your route achievements!

We begin with a lead-in from the Fuego Flats start pens to the rock arch, which is also our finish line. Traveling clockwise around the desert loop, descend through the redwoods and get dropped onto Ocean Blvd.

Take Ocean Blvd to downtown Watopia then hit The Esses to the Italian Village (sprint if you’d like). Take a right at the fountain to head towards the Volcano, then a left onto the glass bridge before continuing straight onto The Esses once more.

This time when we hit the Italian Village we’ll continue toward the 360 Bridge, but hang a right before we get there onto Ocean Blvd. We’ll ride almost the entire length of Ocean Blvd, turning right after coming out of the tube so we can head toward our start/finish line. The route ends at the sprint finish rock arch.

How do you ride this and all the other new ones? It doesn’t show up as a route in the menu.

It’s event-only, so you have to find an event with it, in this case the tour of watopia is featuring this route coming up soon! Or you can use a hack like zwiftpref to ride event only routes when you want.

I know how to hack into different worlds, but how do you hack into a specific route?

Thank you, I see it now, my bad. I missed the Tour event; is there a way to see which events contain a specific route? I don’t see it as a filter option anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, I just answered my own question. I see that it is listed above.

The easiest was to ride the routes without having to enter an event is to manually change the prefs.xml file prior to loading Zwift. ROUTE_SIGNITURE holds the route ID of your last ridden Watopia course. This is how Zwift remembers the last one when you select the world. You can therefore set ROUTE_SIGNITURE to the ID of any of the event only routes. Below is the code I had to my prefs.xml file. You don’t need to define REBEL_ROUTE_ROUTE_SIGNATURE as it is not required for Zwift to work but by adding it to the file it saves you having to… Read more »

Looks like I can’t post XML connect, which makes sense for security reasons. The ID values are listed but it’s removed the name of the routes they refer to. You should be able to work it out through trial and error though.

It’s easier to just select this route in ZwiftPref or zwift-preferences (download from zwifthacks). It lets you select a world but also any route.

It’s pretty sad that they are adding all these routes, yet make them unavailable for normal riding.

Does your definition of “normal riding” exclude participating in any organized group rides?

Normal riding for me constitutes anything you can do anytime via the “main menu”, so in essence any freeride (and routes) and workouts. Group rides are very time dependent.

There is a group ride every hour, 24 hours a day for 4 days in a row. Should be pretty reasonable to find a time that works.

Hi, will it be possible to ride the route via meet up in future?

This loops like a fun time in the saddle. I look forward to riding it in the future.

Tried to ride this route yesterday but for some reason ended up on three little sisters instead. Anyone else experience the same?
