The simplest of five routes rolled out with Zwift’s Titans Grove expansion, “Sand and Sequoias” is aptly named since it includes the Fuego Flats desert plus the rolling road of Titans Grove sequoia forest.

Route Description

Route profile by ZwiftHub – the place to plan and track your route achievements!
This loop begins just before the Fuego Flats start pens, taking you out to the desert for a flat and fast first half of the route. Leaving the town of Saddle Springs around 6 miles into your ride, the road ramps up a bit then begins to descend through the sequoia grove. The landscape is changing!
Hanging a right on your descent through the trees puts you on the road through Titans Grove, and this section has a completely different feel from the desert. With tight twists and constantly changing gradients it can feel like a rollercoaster at high speeds – so take a moment to slow down and enjoy the scenery. (Unless you’re in a race – then you’d better hang on tight!)
The reverse version of this route is functional. Simply flip a u-turn to take it all in the opposite direction.
I think. If you put suggestion which bike suitable for thia route also good for users. Thank.
No one has mentioned about the fastest bike for this route. It has both long flat sections and punchy climbs. I guess I would prefer the tron bike. My next option for a race would be a climbing bike as tarmac pro to attack the climbs and hide in the draft afterwards.
I’d stick the the tron bike. The climb is no where substantial enough to make a difference, especially during a race.
This is a great course. The beginning, in the desert Fuego Flats reminds me of the American Southwest. Then the portions through the Sequoias reminds me of rides I have taken in Carmel and Monterey, through the Del Monte forest. Need a a good musical background to fully enjoy, maybe start with Sting’s Desert Rose. 👍
We have not received any information for the start of the Knysna Race tomorrow
I can’t figure out how to sign up for this! Help! Please!

Do I just do the sand and sequoias route or is there an event I have to join?
Hi.
I wish you would state on all the routes’ s uphill sections not just the average gradient, but the maximum gradient as well.
like right now in the early season I am looking for hills (to gain a good speed going uphill)
which will not go over 5-6%!
But how can I find some, most of them goes up 8-9-13% which you would not know from the average gradient!
any suggestions?
Can you add the max gradients as well?
thank you for listening, reading!
