“Race Scotland” ZRacing February Series Details

Zwift’s monthly ZRacing series is now in its sixth round following September’s Get Rolling, October’s Race Like a Champ, November’s Race Makuri, December’s Race Like a Pro, and January’s Flat is Fast. Each month has brought more and more racers out to compete for the monthly GC.

Today Zwift published details for February’s ZRacing Series, where the theme is “Race Scotland”. All the races for this month are in Zwift’s new Scotland map, where the 2023 UCI Esports World Championships will be raced on February 18. Let’s dive into the details!

Race Scotland – February’s Route Schedule

This month’s races will all take place in Zwift’s new Scotland map:

Scotland Tartan Kit Unlock

Zwift has created a new kit to celebrate the Scotland map launch, and you can unlock it by finishing any event in this month’s ZRacing series.

Series Structure

The ZRacing series consists of monthly sets of weekly races. Each race is scheduled for seven days (beginning 1:10am UTC on Monday and running through to the next Sunday). Timeslots are consistent week to week and month to month.

Races are scheduled ~15 times each day, so there are plenty of available times to find a race.

See upcoming events at zwift.com/events/tag/zracingfeb2023

Monthly GC on ZwiftPower

Each monthly set of races has a time-based GC (general classification) which tracks riders’ best finishing times for each week’s race. The overall winners in each category for the month will be the riders with the lowest overall time for that month’s set of races.

See February’s GC on ZwiftPower >

With over 100 weekly timeslots available, riders can race each week’s event multiple times and try to better their finishing time.

Note: you must use a heart rate monitor and be on a smart trainer, smart bike, or power meter to show up in ZwiftPower results for this series.

If you aren’t signed up for ZwiftPower, check out our post How to Sign Up for ZwiftPower (and Why Every Zwifter Should Do It).

Get the Badge

Each month’s series has its own achievement badge which you can unlock by finishing every stage for the month.

One and Done

Zwift has planned these events around the idea of a solid 1-hour workout. So each race should only take around 1 hour to complete, including your warmup and cooldown.

Search I have but I can’t find monthly overall results for flat is fast. Could you provide a link? I can find individual race results but not monthly combined.

It’s totally not intuitive. Under the Leagues menu there is a link to “2023 Flat is Fast”. Here’s a direct link: https://zwiftpower.com/league.php?id=1450

Do we know yet, which of these courses is going to be ZRL race 6? Trying to prioritize for route recon if there is overlap.

Will everyone be locked into the same kit for these races like during the “race like a pro” series? That was annoying trying to keep track of who’s who.

Fun fact from last season, if you get pushed up a category with category enforcement then you basically don’t get a GC ranking. I did 4 races in Cat D and 1 in Cat C. I’m all for category enforcement but it would be great if the GC rankings included races below a given category. (My Cat C race I finished 70th/90, but was still faster than the #1 Cat D finisher for that race)

It doesn’t mean that. Some are very borderline. Either cat could be appropriate

Same thing happened to me being as borderline C/B as a person could be. I wound up with 5 races in both cats. Next time I’ll make sure I race both cats every week. I actually placed higher in B women because so many more C

I see jersey unlocks for the Ride Scotland rides, but I do not see jersey unlocks for the Race Scotland rides. Using Zwift Hacks Events … which gets this awesome jersey? BTW, LOVE the new Scotland stuff so far!!!

ZH shows “completion prize” for these races which I assume is the kit.

I did stage 3 today the Glasgow Crits 30 mins. I got my route badge and elevaton credit for the Feb climb challange, but nothing has appeared in the Scotland Race stats – still showing as 0%. Did I pick the wrong event or something?

For these races if I’m Zwift Cat C, but ZwiftPower Cat B, will I get a ZwiftPower UPG if I choose Cat C? Zwift Category Enforcement currently allows me to enter Cat C for the Race Scotland series.

Thanks Eric. Appreciate the swift reply. I got a UPG in the Team DRAFT race on Saturday, so wanted to be sure. Cheers!

I’ve missed Stage 1. So you know if there is a possibilty to catch up this stage (as for Tour de Zwift) ?

I unfortunately missed Stage 1 of Race Scotland. Are there any catch up rides as there are with events such as the “Tour de Zwift”. I ask this because I am keen to get the badge.

This happened to me in September. After a few rounds of back and forth with support, this is what they came up with, “It seems the credit for one of your races did not credit before the campaign ended. This lead to the badge not being posted. We are unable to credit this badge to you. I know this is not what you want to hear and I am very sorry we’re unable to do that for you.”

Hi, is there any catch up dates for the race scotland series?

They’ve not done makeup dates for any of the Z Racing series since they started last fall. So, if you missed one you’re out of luck unfortunately. But the good news is Scotland is going to be on regular rotation in the various racing series out there so you’ll get other chances to do the routes.
