Zwift’s monthly ZRacing series are growing in popularity, with September’s Get Rolling and October’s Race Like a Champ bringing many top racers out to compete for the monthly GC. Today Zwift published the details of November’s ZRacing Series, and as the name indicates, it’s all about the Makuri Islands map. Let’s dive in!
New Urukazi Routes!
This month’s series includes two not-yet-released routes from Zwift’s upcoming Urukazi map. This map is releasing in early November, so we don’t yet know its details. But we do have two screenshots:

Series Structure
The ZRacing series consists of monthly sets of weekly races. Each race is scheduled for seven days (beginning 1:10am UTC on Monday and running through to the next Sunday). Timeslots are consistent week to week and month to month.
Races are scheduled ~15 times each day, so there are plenty of available times to find a race:

Monthly GC on ZwiftPower
Each monthly set of races has a time-based GC (general classification) which tracks riders’ best finishing times for each week’s race. The overall winners in each category for the month will be the riders with the lowest overall time for that month’s set of races.
See November’s GC on ZwiftPower >
With over 100 weekly timeslots available, riders can race each week’s event multiple times and try to better their finishing time.
Note: you must use a heart rate monitor and be on a smart trainer, smart bike, or power meter to show up in ZwiftPower results for this series.
If you aren’t signed up for ZwiftPower, check out our post How to Sign Up for ZwiftPower (and Why Every Zwifter Should Do It).
Get the Badge
Each month’s series has its own achievement badge which you can unlock by finishing every stage for the month.
One and Done
Zwift has planned these events around the idea of a solid 1-hour workout. So each race should only take around 1 hour to complete, including your warmup and cooldown.

It would be great if there were Zwift races that you couldn’t enter unless you had signed up to Zwiftpower first.
This past month i did my first ZRacing Monthly Series! It was great, but I just dont understand what I am racing for? Im like 2,600th place… lol.. That’s really dumb.
Imagine how stoked you’re gonna be when you finish 2,400th next month!!! 😁
Does anyone look at that? Just race the race you’re in, I’m sure that’s what 99.something% of people you’re racing against are doing.
One suggestion would be that Castle to Castle is both the zRacing course this week and the Tour of Makuri short course. As you can do the tour of Makuri “your way”, this ticks off 20% of the monthly badge (5 events), the zRacing Stage 1, and Tour in one ride.
I should say, if you wait and do it Thurs to Sunday!
Efficiency!
What happened to the team standings? They don’t come up on ZP anymore.
Is there a way to sort by age in the ZP results for the series?
I’d like to see how I stand with the others of my aged group.
Thanks
No, ZP turned off sorting by age well over a year ago. I think it was during the same time that they were discussing weight, as people were being harassed/shamed over weight/height/gender. So now you can only see ages by general categories, which are 10
years blocks
10 year blocks are fine, especially since I’m in the 70+ age group. So it might still be possible to sort by that? Thanks
I did the first stage today and again (like in last month series) it doesn’t count for this series. Seems like Zwift did not fix the error …
Why an I being forced into cat E for this? It’s stupid, I comfortably lost cat D races last season, let me ride with other people zwift
Last month not last season, the October series
You’ll be put into cat E if Zwift doesn’t have enough power data to classify you into the correct category.
Go do some 45 minute+ rides on Zwift and the problem should solve itself.
Unfortunately I was sick for the first stage. Any chance to repeat it? THX
Nope.
What’s happening if I miss one stage? Can I do it later? I miss the first stage time slot
nope! 😠
Hi! I signed up for this months zracing, but I won’t be racing after all. I can’t find anywhere to opt out. My “OCD” wants the series card off my home screen 😆 Anyone know where I can opt out or if that even is an option for ZRacing? I’ve always found it for Academy, monthly missions etc. (And yes, I know it doesn’t really matter and I should just ignore the card 🫣)
Are other people getting 10XP power ups? I’ve been getting at least one per race since the 4th week of the October series. It’s seriously annoying when everyone around me is smashing their feather power up while I put out 10% extra watts…
It says “no data available” for the “All” ranking over at zwiftpower. If I choose the women rankings I do get results. Anybody else experience this?
Yep. It was in the forums. They finally got it corrected today.
Hello. Could we join back those missed out race after all the stages finish?
No, there are no makeup races.
So confused – raced stage #3 last night in C and the winner pulled >4w/kg at 258W. But no DQ in ZP? Only DQs were for HRM. On another subject, I missed race #2 so my month’s results are meaningless. Is it possible to see the results from a week full of races? It’s an odd series because it’s pretty much luck-of-the-draw on whether your race is a fast one or not, but that’s the only non-series way of measuring how well you did! It was a tough race, probably because of the guy pulling 1w/kg more than everyone else,… Read more »
The Zwift-sponsored races are using category enforcement for signup so there are no DQs within the race itself. Basically, if you’re allowed to sign up for a race, you’re not going to be punished for doing so even if your power exceeds normal limits. Of course, this does create the situation you see here, where someone who does not have enough data to get category enforced can sign up for C or D. They then blow the field away, celebrate their gold medal, and will login tomorrow to find that they can’t sign up for anything other than A. I’ve… Read more »
Yep, I was worried about this on Friday. Happily was a proper C group and I was even in the lead group until the sprint which I am hopeless at.
I think the racing has to be viewed in the same lens as Zwift overall – unless you are able to be fully devoted to it, you get a good workout and the occasional reward when you finish a race well or win a jersey. And overall you maintain or increase fitness which is the real reward.
I missed the middle two stages. (New to Zwift, so didn’t understand all this). It looks like there is no making up stages 3 and 4?
oops. nm. I posted before scrolling down far enough. Looks like I’m out of luck
Eric, can you do 5a and 5b on different days, or re-do just one of them, or are they a package deal?
I think the IDEA is that you do them back to back. But I think you could do them separately and your result would stand.
Thanks for the reply.
