Recently the HISP Club announced their “Tour de Hisp” – a 13-stage daily tour running August 15-28. Here are all the details!
Points System
This is a points-based stage race. Each stage offers points for sprint and/or KOM segments, as well as finishing position. In an inventive twist, point values are partially determined by the difficulty of the stage or segment, so for example first place on Ven-Top (stage 10) earns you 100 points, while first place on Triple Flat Loops (stage 11) only earns you 30 points.
See overall information on the points system on the Tour’s homepage. Points allocated for each stage can be found on the stages page.
Stage and Schedule Details
Each day’s stage is run at two different times:
- 8:15am UTC/4:15am EDT/1:15am PDT
- 5:15pm UTC/1:15pm EDT/10:15am PDT
You can race whatever time you’d like, or race both if you’re feeling brave! Your best points result on the day will be used for your day’s total.

I am scared and at the same time thrilled and eagering to start this league.
Never raced in a competitive way for so many consecutive days.
Don’t be scared. There you’ll find all categories bikers . In the Chasing Yellow I’m finished 5th and I’m a weak cyclist. Persévérance os the secret
Deseando que llegue el dia 15 de agosto, para participar.
Yo también!!!!
Fantastic!
Welcome!!!
Awesome!
Fantastic! It will be a great challenge for me or any indoor cyclist to participate in a race with so many stages. Great initiative of Club Hisp. Congratulations!
All cyclists, women and boys, are welcome A B C D categories
Except those from America because of the time slots 😉
We apologize to youWe apologize to you 🙏 We will take it into account for future tours 😉
How about adding a 1700PST otherwise anybody in America with a job wont be able to participate
Looks fun. Similar to FRR tour international stage race in march. Hope to do some stages as local gallery I help at is in the process of moving.
Great event!!! We must go on!!!
Cool concept! Unfortunate there is not a 3rd time slot for folks who work in the US …
it’s hard to understand what may be some critical rules or things participants should know and regret if they make the time and effort to do more than a couple of these stages. I did look at and ran the Spanish through google translate without mich more help:
1) more instructions clearly outlining things from the promoter would be useful
2) hey ‘when in Rome’ … but …it’s tricky and I won’t get ‘audibles’ but google translate seems to indicate that even the Spanish instructions are not answering things I’m guessing assuming?
3) Some instructions are also in English if so would be good to have a translation of all instructions
4) ANY verbal instructions or changes given minutes before the stage … I do regret not learning Spanish, but if they give some English would again be nice to have everything in both languages. Yes there are many other languages and the US/UK/Australia (or Japan/Korea) and those who speak other languages aren’t imperial powers who have some right to have it in our own too. But there is somewhat of a. It’s towards other learning English in many fields so most likely most common next language.
5) all else from Zwift is in English this is a club doing their thing and inviting everyone to the party this is AWESOME I hope that’s clear…but yeah
6) I notice many/ most riders are of the club or flying a flag of a Spanish speaking country. I EXPECT a ‘home field advantage’ all cool as many racers will communicate with each other in Spanish and hey I should learn it too!
7) but if the organizers give additional verbal typed instructions etc minutes before the race I hope they take the time to repeat them in at least one additional language.
(I lead a large IRL weekly outdoor ride for a couple of years some spoke primarily Spanish with Very limited English and I’d out online and printed instructions and tips. While those were only a few riders I worked google translate then got it checked and honed so some major gist wasn’t lost in translation. I then made these parallel mirror of the e flush instructions equally available to my fellow riders and anyone who may want them. I only say this to say I not only am saying I of course would do the same…I have and know it’s work but wouldn’t ask for anything I wouldn’t do.
ok what now? Clearly this is an a. Awesome event the times for North America are unlikely to suddenly change this year but this could easily get multi year legs. I’d ask the race organizers if they’d consider some of the following:
**At minimum all rules should be stated in advance (even if in Spanish). If only sprung on non club members. New instructions from organizers in more than one language (the times are hard enough). What why English? It IS used throughout Zwift instructions and they give shorter versions in English…your links are mostly to things entirely in Spanish but … lol not enough said in any language I suspect they organizers don’t realize what they may be taking for granted. Tomorrow I was given a start time. Oh … ok it’s a TT says somewhere. No drafting. Is that programmed? I’ll be on a TT bike are they required or is this set up so we’ll put PUT on them or is my ‘one minute man’ gonna catch me on a Tron and semi draft me for part of the course for example? To be clear I love this, hope I can get in these awkward times for North America sure, but maybe it’s just ‘wait is this a TT stage?’ ‘Prologue’ another clue but as many course aren’t shorter ‘stage 1’ as main descriptor works!! A bunch more things will pop up so I hope this long one way discussion is helpful over time if not right away. Thanks again to the club HISP for creating such a uniquely long and challenging Zwift event it’s a gift and i appreciate them and hope to do some.
Wow oh thought o clicked all over found much more on the google drive sheet though lol also say look at social media and club website for more (and I did)…much better clearly than I thought with that info!
Hello Darren/Bike Links.
Sorry for any issue with the HISP League and all your comments will be used to improve in the next League Event (including more detailed english documentation and more convenient times for our fellow american racers! i promise!).
Nobody was expecting the level of success and interest of this of this extremely tough league. I participated in the 5th race and i am completely wrecked (am i am only C!). Tomorrow is rest day and on monday the 7 hardest races with no rest days. On thursday we climb the VenTop *scream noises*.
Some last minutes instruction were due to Zwift issues, for instance some KoM that Zwiftpower didn’t consider for points, so we inform in the chat just before starting. Another issue was that the Criterium Circuit was only 7 laps for C and D and finally it was 10 laps exactly like A and B.
Our apologies again Darren. We will improve (if we survive!).
