This weekend we’re featuring Tour de Zwift, of course – it’s too popular not to, and stage 4 features some heavy climbing!

We’re also highlighting a very popular one-off group ride for triathletes with a new kit unlock, and three flavors of long rides varying from beginner-level pace to a race.

✅ Popular Event ✅ Kit Unlock

Tour de Zwift, the biggest ride series on the platform, is underway, and hundreds of riders have been turning out for each event! Stage 4 is available through the end of the weekend, and it’s climby! Here are the route options:

✅ Route Badge ✅ Long Route ✅ Kit Unlock

Every month BEAT Cycling Club organizes a badge hunt ride on one of Zwift’s longer routes. For February, they’re on Zwift’s very longest route, London’s The PRL Full!

✅ Endurance Challenge ✅ Legacy Race

The KISS 100 is probably the longest-running long race on Zwift’s calendar. The A category, in particular, always has some hitters showing up!

How We Make Our Picks

We choose each weekend’s Notable Events based on a variety of factors including:

  • Is the event unique/innovative in some way?
  • Are celebrities (pro riders, etc) attending/leading?
  • Are signup counts already high, meaning the event is extra-popular?
  • Does the ride include desirable unlocks or prizes?
  • Does the event appeal to ladies on Zwift? (We like to support this under-represented group!)
  • Is it for a good cause?
  • Is it just plain crazy (extra long races, world record attempts, etc)?
  • Is it a long-running, popular weekly event with a dedicated leader who deserves a shout out?

In the end, we want to call attention to events that are extra-special and therefore extra-appealing to Zwifters. If you think your event qualifies, comment below with a link/details and we may just include it in an upcoming post!

Loving tour de zwift going for full completion… enjoying the racing at the front as so easy to get caught up in the breakaway. This week’s have been some of the toughest with some nasty hills to climb with +15% sections to really make you reach for the coffee break… but resisted for this week. An big advantage for the tour is they are tracked on Zwift Power… and if your on Strava you get the full sector breakdown and see how your times compare with the rest on the community.
Will miss it when it’s gone…. also there looks like there is a catch up week at the end if you’ve missed any events

@Eric Schlange thanks for mentioning our ride. Just an honor the be on the website for the PRL Full. We changed the description a bit. Zwift needs to change it at the moment but this is the new description:

————————————————————————————————

Finish the ride and you will earn the iconic BEAT kit and routebadge.

The longest routes are a real challenge. Especially when you are doing it on your own. That is why we organize every month a ‘BEAT Badgehunt Bonanza’. Big and tight group means a faster average pace with less effort and more fun. Firsttimers will pick up more than 6000XP along the way.

We will warmup between 2-2,5 W/Kg. We have an average pace between 2,0 and 3,0 W/Kg at the end of the ride. We are aiming for a maximum pace of 3,5 W/Kg on the climbs. Staying nice and tight means a higher average with a lower pace. Give a heads-up if you loose the group but want to stay in touch with the front.

There will be a nice and hot fence. You will be atomatically zapped after 60 seconds in front of the fence. You don’t get our kit but you can finish the route for the routebadge anyway.

We noticed in the previous rides that it will be very quick a race after losing the fence. That is why we decided to keep the fence as long as possible activated.

Discord is BEAT Only.

See you in the ride #rideon
