It amazes me the “How to BEST Execute a Zwift Sprint” someone is doing 12+ Wkg for just over 400 Watts.Btw, for this Bridge Sprint you can also have another approach. As this is just sprinting in a group ride.Position yourself midpack before going down. Then increase speed and power, power off and draft.Maybe increase power again for a few seconds to keep momentum. Then unleash power in the corner so you hit the 1% bump, it slows you down less. Now you have insane momentum compared to others. For sprints and VO2 max finishes it starts with recording and analyzing recon rides.Same sprint… Read more »
Yeah I agree about the power being off, assuming my maths is correct, 12w/kg @ 400w would mean a rider weight of only around 33kg. Something’s a bit off there, unless the rider is a very small child with enormous quads.
Hi 👋
I am the creator of that video. Many are skeptical of my power numbers and wkg, so I just wanted to provide some numbers. I weigh 35.4kg, so my wkg are pretty high compared to most riders. I know many other kids who weigh around the same who can put out the same, if not more power than I.
It’s also strange you can be so competitive in that sprint (going down fast, then sprint) with only 400 Watts. Even if you’re small. But that’s not your fault, that’s the Zwift engine.
Yes, I do agree on the fact that Zwift speeds are quite unrealistic for lighter riders.
