Route Description
This route begins with a unique lead-in that isn’t shared by any other route: from the Paris start pens you’ll ride around the Jardin des Tuileries on the east end of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, then turn right to head toward the Madeleine, which you’ll loop around before heading back to the Champs and through the lap banner. That’s your lead-in done. Now the route proper begins!
Head up the Champs, through the Lutece Sprint, turn right at the Arc de Triomphe and head down to Parc Monceau and its namesake, the Monceau Sprint.
You’ll turn right soon afterward, ride a quick loop before heading to the Madeleine for another quick loop around its plaza before retracing your steps (or pedal strokes) all the way back to Arc de Triomphe. Along the way, you’ll hit the Église Sprint, which is located near the Église Saint-Augustin.
Arriving at the Arc de Triomphe, you’ll loop around and head down the now-familiar road for another go at the Monceau Sprint. This time, instead of turning right toward the Madeleine, you’ll continue on toward the Montmartre KOM and the Sacré-Coeur located at its peak.
This is where things will get spicy in a race. The Montmartre section is a one-way road looping up to Sacré-Coeur then descending down to the start of the climb. This route has you hitting the KOM twice, back-to-back.
Once you’ve descended Montmartre a second time, you’ll hit the Tchou Tchou Sprint then turn left toward the Madeleine and make your way back onto the road circling the Jardin des Tuileries at the end of the Champs. Ride this short loop, then head up the Champs to the lap banner for a strong finish. Allez allez!
