A minor Zwift update was pushed out last night. Game master Jon Mayfield says this update is “primarily to add support for our upcoming March cycling mission as well as other content updates for the month.” Here are the details…
New Singletrack Slayer MTB Training Plan

This plan was announced a few months ago as “coming soon” – and now it’s here! The plan is “designed for veteran riders who are experienced in completing challenging high-intensity sessions.”
Zwift’s description says:
With a good level of volume behind you, now we prepare specifically for the demands of XC racing. By implementing specific high-intensity sessions targeting cadence and power, you will be prepared for the unique features of XC racing.
This plan is designed to be completed as your final training phase leading into your key event. It provides both a build in volume and intensity, along with an adequate taper period.
Arch Power-Up Bug Fixed
The previous update introduced a bug where some banners (most notably Watopia’s downtown start/finish) no longer awarded powerups. This has been fixed.

More Changes
This update also includes the following:
- Removal of Bluetooth spindown on certain trainers due to incompatibilities. This will be re-enabled when fixed.
- Added route achievement for May Field run track
- Fixed crash that could occur on AppleTV
- Lots of kits updated/added
- Misc smaller fixes and small features

what are the new kits added
Is the fence bug on group-rides fixed?!
Not yet.
Still no fence on group rides as of last night
After the update today I had a Bluetooth problem after one hour biking. There was a connection with my taxc smarth but no value rmp and watt. Restart of zwift was not enough. The problem was short after that I try to take an other then rb default rout
I had to reboot my windows 10 desktop.
After I reboot I could bike
On the Update screen of my Apple TV, the What’s New box is different. It has just three bullets and the second one is, “Support for upcoming March content added”. That could mean any one of several things but support for upcoming content does NOT sound like the ATV UI update to me. Except for this one thing: I had to force the ATV update twice when it’s usually automatic and it took much longer than the last two.
I hope they fix the CPU spike bug that attaches itself when I cross the Reverse Epic KOM start line in Watopia. The bug is not noticable UNTIL I cross under the Reverse Epic KOM banner, then CPU spikes will continue for the rest of my ride no matter where I go in Watopia after that. This is the only start line bug (in the entire Zwift platform including all worlds) that does this. The problem started in 2019 when they added the desert expansion update (it was never present before that). The CPU spikes can cause the program to crash (sometimes), but that has only been a handful of times that a complete crash has happened due to the CPU spikes. If I select “Road To Sky” course instead (to avoid crossing the Reverse Epic KOM start line), then climb from there, I have no CPU spikes. If I select “Mountain 8” course, the bug will be present because I have to CROSS the Reverse Epic KOM start line. Side note: I did select “Road To Sky” in the past, then climbed to radio tower, then came
back down the same side of the mountain and went passed the Reverse Epic KOM start line (in the desending direction), then made a right turn at the windmills and headed to the underwater tube and the CPU bug started shortly as I entered the tubes. I have been trying to tell Zwift HQ about this bug for the past year, but nobody has been able to track it down yet. I do wonder if the latest start banner (no power up bug) is related? This was happening at many start banners recently in many worlds. However, if the user did a few “U-Turns” through the start banners, then the power ups would trigger. I showed that trick to a few friends recently when that new bug appeared.
What about video run from a Microsoft Surface disabling photo taking?
I’ve noticed decimal places on the workouts ie 10 mins @ 185.0w whereas before I swear it was 10 mins at 185w
Yup. Must be a bug caused by fixing something else. The watts are always rounded to the nearest multiple of 5 anyway, so showing .0 is silly.
Went up the Alpe today and didn’t get a single powerup. Think they still have a problem……and was awarded the frame for the 10th straight time.
George is getting upset!!
I had a problem on the Haute Route training session on Friday where the cadence was intermittently giving the wrong reading and not showing an accurate reflection of what I was doing.
On the Threshold Booster workout on Friday, cadence changes seemed really slow to register. For example, in the warm up, it took most of the 30 seconds for Zwift to register that I had spun up from 85ish RPMs to 100ish. Just as it seemed to recognize I was spinning at the higher cadence, the interval was over. I haven’t been on since to see if that problem is persisting.
On workout mode, Watts seem to be measured with 1 dp now.
Anyone else noticing some much larger XP rewards for completing workout segments? Yesterday my 15min blocks were netting me 161 points as opposed to the expected 90 points (ie 6 points per min)
It’s always been about 11xp/minute for me?
No more supertuck on the tron bike or just me?
I think just you. Sometimes riders don’t drop into the super tuck when they should. See if it works next ride!
Anyone has the same problems as me since the update…yesterday it was working fine, today i’m stuck on a mtb bike that i can’t change, and also stuck in erg mode even when just wanting to ride routes?
Hi Tina. Did you enter the ABSA CAPE EPIC MISSION? If so, unclick the ‘Auto equip Scott Spark RC’ option on the world choice screen. See Eric’s post about it here: https://zwiftinsider.com/absa-cape-epic-mission/
After the update , Zwift wouldn’t connect via bluetooth, crashed, then froze during a group ride, Haven’t been on since so I hoped they sorted this all out.
I’ve noticed since I did a software update that the difficulty slider has gone?
If the difficulty slider isn’t showing that means your smart trainer isn’t paired under “Controllable Trainer.” Pair up there, and difficulty shall return!
Hi Eric!
How’s going?
Regarding the Singletrack Slayer MTB training plan, I’m performing it nowadays. So I tryed to figure out when the plan demand’s two or three trainings in the same day, but I don’t have any clue. The question is. Do I have to execute all in the same day (BTW, it’s so hard) or I need to choose only one?
Best Regards!
