Zwift’s “ZRacing” is the platform’s most popular ongoing race series, and in February we’re prepping for the upcoming Zwift Games by celebrating past championships. Sagan broke away to win in Richmond, Jay Vine sprinted for glory in New York, and Loes Adegeest tore up the streets of Glasgow. Now it’s our turn!
Read on for details about race routes, the overall monthly GC competition, and more…

Series Structure
The ZRacing series consists of monthly sets of weekly races. Each race is scheduled for seven days (beginning 1:10am UTC on Monday and running through to the next Sunday). Timeslots are consistent week to week and month to month.
Races are scheduled ~15 times each day, so there are plenty of available times to find a race.

Monthly GC on ZwiftPower
Each monthly series includes a time-based GC (general classification) tracking riders’ best finishing times for each week’s race. The overall winners in each category for the month are the riders with the lowest overall time for that month’s set of races.
See February’s GC on ZwiftPower > (link coming soon)
With over 100 weekly timeslots available, riders can race each week’s event multiple times and try to better their finishing time. Tip: the fastest times usually come from the largest race fields!
You must use a heart rate monitor and be on a smart trainer, smart bike, or power meter to show up in ZwiftPower results for this series.
If you aren’t signed up for ZwiftPower, check out our post How to Sign Up for ZwiftPower (and Why Every Zwifter Should Do It).

Get the Badge
Each month’s ZRacing series has a unique achievement badge, which you can unlock by finishing every stage for the month.
There are no makeup events, so if you miss a stage, you miss out on the badge and competing in the GC.
One and Done
Zwift has planned these events to deliver a solid 1-hour workout, so each race should only take around 1 hour to complete, including your warmup and cooldown.

NYC is somewhat underused in events, so good call to include that map =)
I always pass on New York maps that include the transparent climbs. Everything feels wrong for me and makes it difficult to put down a big effort.
Some great courses in this series. I am looking forward to it. Muckle Yin is, in my opinion, the best racecourse in Zwift
Agreed – physically and mentally engaging
It’s just a fact.
As least the selection is better than January’s “Flat is dull as dishwater,” but it’s a little unimaginative to be racing Rolling Highlands again like in December’s Zmonthly(?) and I could have sworn we’ve had Muckle Yin on the Zmonthly recently too.
Grand Central? This route is so underused! 2 or 3 laps (longer for As and Bs) gives a great sub 60min race.
Rooftop Rendezvous?
Jungle Circuit?
Whole Lotta Lava?
Park Perimeter Loop?
Kappa Quest?
etc.
Can’t disagree. I found these flat races to be pretty terrible. 30m of cruising the peloton followed by the bunch sprint. All the ones you mentioned have elevation changes which is critical in zwift since there is no braking on corners or descents. So flats are essentially long straightaways.
On the other hand, I didn’t mind Jan so much as it meant I won my first Zwift race 🥳
Have to agree some elevation changes will certainly be welcome tho!
Kinda wish it would take your overall time regardless of which cat event you chose. Would encourage some racing up to gain time.
Fully agree with this, I am a C and raced in B last night just to see how I would fare.
Is there a way to view results for age groups on ZP, if not, why not?
Would be interested to see an analysis of the most used routes. Relative use of given routes filtered by “race”, “min B cat is 10 people”.
Is no one else upset that the series is ending 3 days early? Everything I see online regarding stage 4 says it will go until March 3rd, and yet I see NO races scheduled for this weekend. A bit of a disappointment, I’m glad I realized in time to react, I’m not sure others will.
Why isn’t there any ‘race like a champ’
scheduled for 1st 2nd and3rd march as it’s not meant to finish untill 4th march ?
I just noticed that as well! I originally signed up for one tomorrow about two weeks ago and it no longer appears in my events, nothing is coming up in events in ZC, nothing shows up when redirected to the Zwift events page online, and nothing on Zwift hacks! What gives?
Not in my list of events either. It was there last night, but now they are all gone. How do I ride my last last race then???
Zwift decided that the Zwift Games were more important, and decided not to communicate that in any (official) way. They’re confident that people won’t be annoyed enough to leave.
Did you actually get confirmation from Zwift that’s the case? Unacceptable answer if so!
This is the quote from a zwift staff member on one of the “unofficial” Facebook groups
“I removed Friday-Sunday stages for Race Like a Champ because Zwift Games starts on Friday. We felt like it would adversely impact RLAC on those days and it wouldn’t be a great experience and racers would have more fun taking on Sprint Stage 1 in Zwift Games”
I guess everyone should be a member of that private group if they want up to date information.
If that is true, I really wish I would have known. I would have restructured my schedule to get Knickerbocker in. Needed to complete the series and our team is 1 finish short (19 vs 20) for the team standings
I can’t find event for stage 4 ‘race like a champ’ when the events don’t finish until 4th march
Me either, thought I was being silly, wanted another pop at stage 4
Stage 4 has finished earlier than the stated date.. so I’ve missed the final stage for individual and team GC. Lost or 7 month winning streak 🙁
Stage 4 should be active until 3rd March. This is an error on Zwift. I do not want to loose my badge!!!
Is race 4 done??
Very disappointing to see that a “Zwift Staffer” pulled the plug early and without any advance notice so we could get in our final race of the series. Do they not think we can do two races over the 3 day overlap period? (March 1-3) I might be slow, but I’m quite confident my body can race twice!
Looking for Stage 4 races but seems they are no longer available yet
