“Quatch Quest” Route Details (Watopia)

Animated “Quatch Quest” Route Details (Watopia) Map
Animated map provided by ZwiftHacks

One of five routes rolled out with Zwift’s Titans Grove expansion, “Quatch Quest” is by far the most challenging, with more than twice the elevation gain of Muir and the Mountain, the next most mountainous route.

Zwift teases us in the description of this route: “If you keep your eyes open, there’s no telling what you might see.” What are they referring to? We know a large, bluish Yeti has been spotted on Alpe du Zwift. But Sasquatch is an entirely different creature. Perhaps one is hiding in Titans Grove?

Route Description

Route profile by ZwiftHub – the place to plan and track your route achievements!

This route begins just like Muir and the Mountain, except you get to skip the radio tower climb, and after descending the Epic KOM you’ll hang a left and head toward the Alpe.

Begin by turning left into Titans Grove (reverse direction) and enjoy your roller-coaster ride through the sequoia forest. Hit the reverse KOM section hard if you’d like, but keep in mind the much longer and steeper Epic KOM and Alpe climbs are coming up!

At the end of Titans Grove hang a right onto the Fuego Flats road, descending across the bridge and turning left onto the road to the Epic KOM. Climb up through this mountain pass, but this is only a warmup for the larger Alpe climb to come.

After descending from the Epic KOM, turn left toward the Mayan Jungle, get on the Jungle Circuit in the reverse direction by turning left at the dirt fork, then take another left to head up the Alpe. From there it’s just one long climb to the Alpe banner, which is where the route ends.

Tal vez es tiempo de actualizar algunos datos, en varias rutas se recorre más distancia de la que indican, hacen un gran trabajo sirve mucho como guía, sigan así

I’m trying to do the whole Ride List this Winter. (Thanks for your ‘printable’ version BTW). I knocked out the Four Horsemen today, also my 1st time up the Alpe’. I still have to do, Quatch, Tour of Fire n Ice, and Road to the Sky. They should all be easier now that I’ve completed the hardest 1st. That’s how I’m approaching it anyway…

Anyone know if I were to begin the route from the other direction (from Volcano then taking a right to Titan’s Reverse) would it qualify for the strava segment? It looks close, but like maybe it wouldn’t.

Achievements can only be awarded when you ride the selected route, either through an event, meet-up or selecting from the ride screen. You can’t “free-ride” routes to get the achievement, though I wish you could. There are some good tips on how to use meet-ups to get multiple routes within a single ride session.

He is asking about Strava segments though, not Zwift route achievements.

what would be a good bike/wheel combo for this without changing bikes in the jungle? Also have tron bike available.

John,

so much climbing here. It would save time to use the lightest bike with lightest wheel set.

Does anyone know if we can use power ups along the way, but stop using them at the Alpe segment and still get to spin the wheel at the top?

you can use powerups on the way to Alp the zwift. The wheel starts to spin when you complete the Alp segment
