Parlee Speed Mission Announced

Zwift has just rolled out the newest in-game mission for cyclists: the Parlee Speed Mission! Here are the details…

How to Enter

To get started, click “Let’s do this” on the Parlee Speed Mission box in your startup screen. Accept the terms and conditions, and you’re ready to go! The start screen box will show mission progress as you save each ride.

Completing the Mission

To finish this mission, you must enter the mission then ride a total of 250km (155 miles) before April 16th. You can do it all in one ride if you’re an animal, or spread it across as many rides as you’d like!

In-game Parlee RZ7

Mission Prizes

Upon completing the mission you will receive a 100,000 Drops bonus, which you can use to purchase the new Parlee RZ7 bike in-game if you’d like. Or use it to buy something else!

Everyone who completes the mission will be entered to win a real-life Parlee RZ7 bike with SRAM Red eTap AXS (approximate retail value $12,999USD). Nice!

If you sign up for this does your climbing still count toward Everest challenge?

Do we need to complete these miles on a Parlee… like the challenge with the MTB?

How fast is the Parlee SZ7 in zwift? Is it a new bike? I dont see it in your frames list or frame rankings. Thanks for the heads up on this challenge, I definitely plan on doing it!

According to https://zwiftinsider.com/update-1-0-48306/ , a quick speed test had been done, and I think more detailed test will be conducted and it will be put on the chart soon.

It began on 3-31 in the Central Time Zone. I started a ride at 8PM and there it was, the 1980s just as I remember them.

I’m in for a chance to win a $13k bike! I’d even ride the April Fool’s Day retro Steel frame bike the whole 155 miles. That would be easier than pushing that Scott Spark RC up the Alp du Zwift.

Hi there! I’m in as well… Just one quick Q – is this limited only to North America? I’m currently living in Europe but don’t want to pass this opportunity up… Thanks for your input!

Two quick questions/things. One does the entering with iOS voiding entry thing apply? I didn’t get a terms and conditions when I signed up. Also did a ride and miles did not accumulate anyone else see that

Same here, I signed up but didn’t get any terms and also didn’t get credit for the 30 miles I rode after signing up. I am using Apple TV

So I did nothing and my ride today was recorded so not sure. And yes the iOS thing is true with all give aways. Wish I could opt out then opt in with my old laptop I hate missing out on not winning another mission prize. :/

I actually don’t remember the opt in popping up on my iPad. I rode again last night and it credited my ride. Hopefully it counts tonights ride too

I thought that to get entered to win the real life bike you have to complete the mission before the 15th? Otherwise completing the mission still awards the 100K drops and the in-game bike.

I don’t think it will directly reward you with a in-game bike, but a prize of 100,000 drops instead, which may makes you easier to buy the RZ7

I guess it doesn’t work retroactively as I did 103 miles yesterday then opted in 😑

does it matter which Zwift world we are in to complete the challenge?

Joel

I’m not sure if it matters which world you are or if anyone officially answers; however Eric seems to try his best!

Here’s my idea: Do a short 1 km or mile ride in the world of your choice, save and then check.

If it counts…it will show up. I’ve been riding Watopia on an AppleTV without problem…

So I’m not sure about this whole iOS question or rules for entry. I seem to be entered and collecting towards my goal.

Also great way to knock out those long flat ride badges (e.g. Big Foot 67.5 km, BigLoop 42.4, Dust in the Wind 54.6 ect.)

Oh and I’ve seen several people wondering why they don’t get credit during Group/Event rides for Badges.

Here’s the “Trick” (it really not a trick or a hack): You have to select your route before you are doing the ride. For example if the ride is for the figure 8, then go to routes and select figure 8 in addition to selecting the event. Yes, I know it’s an extra step, but I (and likely you) want our badges. Then start at the route start point. Join the event. Complete. Keep riding till you see the Banner that says you got the award. Usually shortly after the group ride finishes! Collect your badge and XP! 🙂

Hi, I guest that if your not at level 28 at the end of the challenge you won’t be able to by the bike in the drop shop!

That’s what I’ve been wondering! I need a frame and would wait to buy this when I finish the mission if I can but if I won’t be able to I’d rather buy something else now. The last mission unlocked the Scott Spark RC before getting to level 17, but you also got to (had to) ride that one for the mission, unlike the RZ7.
Does anyone know? Eric?

Event is full of bugs. I rode 100 km so far, but only 37 km have been recorded. Very discouraged!!! My only chance to own such an awesome bike, and there is no point now.

My reading of this is that the mileage must be completed in the month of April for the drop points but, to get a chance at the bike, it must be completed by April 16th. Is this correct?
