Late last week, Zwift released our personal 2025 Spinbacks, a video available in the Companion app that reviews your achievements for the year. The video highlights key stats, including:
- Your favorite day of the week to Zwift
- Pizza slices burned
- Distance ridden
- Elevation climbed
- Ride Ons exchanged (total sent + total received)
- Top three worlds
- Favorite route
- Favorite RoboPacer
- Total activities logged
- Total achievements (badges)
- Total unique routes completed
- Total FTP bumps
- Longest streak
- Number of races
- Current racing score
- Total hours
Here’s my personal Spinback video as a reference:
Community Spinback
Along with our personal Spinbacks, Zwift also released an unprecedented amount of aggregated “Community Spinback” data:

A few fun notes about the community’s achievements:
- 1.3 billion kilometers ridden is over 32,000 times around the Earth.
- 11.5 billion meters is (nearly) 1.3 million times up Mt Everest.
- 90.1 million pizza slices works out to over 25 trillion calories burned (285 calories per slice).
- We talk about how racers are a “minority” on Zwift, and that’s true… but 2.2 million races this year works out to over 6,000 races completed daily.
- 545.7 million Ride Ons for the year means 17.3 Ride Ons per second are shared on the platform, year-round.
In a press release last week, Zwift shared additional Community Spinback data:
- January was the most popular month in 2025, with 226.7 million kilometers ridden.
- The three most popular routes overall are Watopia’s Tempus Fugit, Tick Tock, and Flat Route.
- On 5th January, a dizzying 78 million metres ascended in a single day.
- Only 12% of the total hours with Robopacers are spent with the three top-end pacers (Jacques, Genie, and Constance). Still, that’s almost 500,000 hours!
- 60% of Robopacer hours were spent with either Miguel (1.8w/kg), Maria (2.2 w/kg), or Coco (2.6 w/kg).
- Biggest event participation numbers: Tour de Zwift, Zwift Unlocked, and The Zwift Big Spin.
- Average session length: 59 minutes
- Germany had the longest average session length at 62 minutes
- The UK had the shortest, at 55 minutes
- France and Germany both prefer structured workouts, while most other countries prefer free rides.
Zwift also released some country-specific data:
Country-Specific Stats

From these images, we can crunch a few numbers to come up with a fun little leaderboard showing which countries have accumulated the most Zwift distance and elevation per capita in the past year (aka, the world’s Zwiftiest places)!
| Country | Population (millions) | Total Distance (millions of km) | Total Elevation (millions of m) | KM per Capita | M per Capita | M/KM |
| USA | 340.1 | 306.4 | 2,400 | 0.90 | 7.06 | 7.83 |
| UK | 69.2 | 173.3 | 1,400 | 2.50 | 20.23 | 8.08 |
| Germany | 83.5 | 132 | 1,100 | 1.58 | 13.17 | 8.33 |
| France | 68.5 | 70.3 | 644.6 | 1.03 | 9.41 | 9.17 |
| Australia | 27.2 | 53.2 | 417.3 | 1.96 | 15.34 | 7.84 |
| New Zealand | 5.3 | 11.4 | 95.4 | 2.15 | 18.00 | 8.37 |
| Spain | 48.8 | 21.3 | 188.3 | 0.44 | 3.86 | 8.84 |
| Japan | 124 | 55.7 | 488.9 | 0.45 | 3.94 | 8.73 |
We can also see that France’s Zwifters did the most climbing per kilometer of any country on the list. Perhaps they were too busy working hard to drop Ride Ons?
My Thoughts
I was curious how “bespoke” each of our Spinback videos actually is. Sure, the stats are unique to us. But what about various text quips, like “You torched enough pizza slices to open up your very own Pipos Pizza Palace”?
In poking around on Insta, it appears most of these bits are the same for everyone. (I saw one newer rider who had burned just 23 slices of pizza, yet apparently even he could have opened up his own Pipos. Hmph.)
Still, it was fun to see my year in review on Zwift. Although last year Zwift dipped their toes into the “spinback” water by delivering career spinbacks for us, this is the first time they’ve released an annual spinback for each Zwifter, and so much aggregated community data for the year. I’m hoping this will become an annual tradition.
Your Thoughts
Any thoughts on your personal Spinback? Did anyone have a different “top worlds” list than “Watopia, France, New York”? And what do you think of the community spinback numbers? Share your thoughts below!
(Also, if you’re having trouble seeing the Spinback prompt in the Companion app, check out this forum thread for some tips.)

And not one kilometer of running occurred on Zwift in 2025, at least from the Spinback I saw.
Runners don’t spin? 🤷♂️
Some do, some don’t. I’m in the “do” category, so I got a report that showed only my rides, none of my runs.
I just noticed there’s been a change with the last update under badges to only show cycling badges when you log on for cycling. I had been seeing all 317 of the badges for both, and now I just see 226/226 cycling routes.
Interesting, I’m still seeing the mixed badge count on 1.103
11.5 billion m is 1.3 million times up Everest?
I knew I’d mess up one of those numbers. 😃 Too many figures flying around. Fixed!
What’s the time range that data was scraped for this? Dec 1 2024 -> ? or does December just not count in Zwift?
Per capita info would benefit a lot from it being per users-in-country not just total country population.
Sure, but Zwift isn’t supplying user counts by country. So I thought it would be fun to see which countries did the most riding per person, whether they’re a Zwifter or not!
Rather see this in January and than from the whole previous year.
Agree with Mike and Bryan, This should have been released on 31st December really… hopefully updated on this date, but I won’t hold my breath 😉
The lack of any care for running is such a shame, I run 2 or 3 times a week on Zwift currently and nothing counts for my fitness stats etc. I can give everyone +2xp when I’m running and give ride-ons, but when I’m riding the bike I don’t give +2xp to runners.. go figure.. none of this is rocket science Zwift… we are paying for this service aren’t we?
I was surprised to see just how few km it took to complete all of the running badges. I logged 299.9 km by the time I’d just completed my last route badge for running, and that was OVER the minimum requirement because at least two of those runs were 22 km long runs on 10 km courses. Right now, the only badges I have left to get are the sub 6 minute mile, and the extra credit ones: Everesting, marathon, and sub 5 minute mile (yeah, right!).
I love the spinback! Some questions though:
Does it count data between Jan. 1, and Dec. 31, 2025?
When is it the last day it will be available?
Thanks a lot!
According to this forum post from Zwift (https://forums.zwift.com/t/zwift-spinback-december-2025/660560), it’ll be available “until 11:59 pm on January 5, 2026.”
I’ve asked which data it covers… I’ll reply if I get an answer.
Amazing thanks a lot!
Zwift says these spinbacks cover “Jan 1, 2025 through Dec 1, 2025”. 🤔
I love Zwift, but they make weird decisions. Why would anyone want their yearly stats minus the one month they probably put the most indoor mileage in 🙁
🤷♂️
lol, my December 2025 distance was 2x my November 2025. December matters. Basically pointless stats. For truth, goto strava.
Saw this last week. Went looking in Zwift Companion. Made sure I had the latest version. No joy. What am I missing here? How do you know how to access it on ZC? Thanks.
Same with me, I clicked on everything in the Companion App and I just can’t find this.
Same. It’s not appearing. Even clicking the link in the email takes me nowhere.
I have the same issue, can’t find it anywhere
Same here…no spinback…
I had to delete the app and reinstall on Apple iPhone. It then appeared on the second opening. 🤷♂️
Just tried that. Still no joy -.-
Mine popped up today. Way later than it seemed to have done for others. I received the Zwift email about two weeks ago … better late than never.
I finally got it to work. Have to go into device settings and allow notifications for the Companion app. Then the Spinback video pops right up.
Could you recalculate the USA without Cat’s mileage? (gotta love her)
You mean #legend Cat Allen? She’s in the UK… which probably explains why the UK has the numbers they do! 😜
Yes, the UK. (Sorry)
Pretty curious what the numbers would be for the Netherlands? I’ve got the feeling that KM per Capita would be the highest of the world. But unfortunately Zwift always forget the Netherlands.
It’s the UK’s atrocious weather that makes the British ride the most miles per capita on the trainer and the Dutch cycling infrastructure that makes them ride outside more…
None of the stats presented were interesting. Yawn.
I mistakenly clicked “do not remind me again” on companion app notification and now I can’t find the spinback video anywhere. 🙁 Pls is there a way to retrieve it before the new year?
Please note, if you click the “Don’t Remind me Again” button, the video will be removed from Zwift Companion and we will not be able to resend it.
https://forums.zwift.com/t/zwift-spinback-december-2025/660560
Had the same issue. Very poor from Zwift. There was no warning to say this would happen, I just wanted to get rid of the notification and watch it at my own convenience. Guess I will have to wait for next year’s now! 😡
You might be the only person that button worked for. I clicked it many times before it finally disappeared.
As a first-year user, I had the 2nd most miles in Makuri Islands (which is definitely my 2nd-favorite world to ride) and France was 3rd due to the route expansion. I’d assume NY was a very close 4th.
if you can’t get the video to show up, and you’re on the most recent version of the companion app, it’s probably because of an ad blocker.
i had to disable an on-device ad blocker AND an in-network ad blocker. then, with those disabled, i had to log out and log back in again to get it to show up.
2.2 million races completed, average of 6000 per day, most of those are racing less than once per week. That’s a sizable chunk of the zwift community, and those individuals would have contributed to the workout numbers, Robopacer usage etc. Many of the racers wouldn’t be on the platform at all if they weren’t racing.
Maybe racing deserves a bit more attention than zwift gives it. Maybe even dedicating a dev to fix the flaws in ZRS.
The Japanese stats in the leaderboard table appear to be off by an order of magnitude. 5571-man km (with -man being a multiple of 10,000) equals 55.71 million km. Likewise, the 4-oku 8890-man (with -oku a multiple of 100 million) equals 488.9 million meters elevation. The per capita figures should then be much closer to other countries.
Adjusted, thanks!
What does it mean if you didn’t receive a spin back in Companion app?
is it really 6000 races per day OR 6000 participants? 2.2 million races participated could also mean three people joining the same race, thats three participated…
Room for improvement probably but it is good, and much better than last year
Watopia, New York and Makuri Islands for me, which makes sense
Not sure about the favourite route tho, does not make sense and I wonder how that is calculated
Would be interesting to know how far the Robopacers rode in a year
Mind popped up couple of times , now its gone . Wanted to share it on Facebook, which I hardly go on, but see alot of work done to produce this, thought wanted to share my work as well . So how do I get it back ?
Watopia, Makuri, France.
It’s astounding to me. So many people doing good things for themselves across the planet. So glad I started 6 years ago, it’s keeping me in a good place.
There should be a prize if your 2025 stats are better than your 2024 stats.
I never got mine and I’m so bummed
