December 27th Routes – Microscopic Makuri
This week’s races all take place on Makuri Islands. Some flat, some… less so.

Race 1: Turf N Surf (7.55km, ends in slot canyon) Begin in Neokyo, then ride out through Neokyo Tunnel and onto the twisty connector road to a custom finish in the scenic slot canyon. Powerup: Ghost
Race 2: Railways and Rooftops (5.44km, ends atop Rooftop KOM Reverse) The reverse version of the Rooftop KOM in Neokyo isn’t an official segment, and it’s a rather unfamiliar climb to most Zwifters since few routes go this way. But we’ll give you a feather as a boost. Because we care! Powerup: Feather
Race 3: Fine and Sandy (6.85km, ends at Tidepool Sprint) Hit the Mech Isle climb early, then it’s a flat, fast ride through Festival Harbor and Mangrove Maze before we take on the beachfront Tidepool Sprint. Powerup: Aero
Race 4: Sea to Tree (1 lap, 3.8km) It looks short on paper, but this race takes you all the way up the dirt Temple KOM. Who’s got the watts per kilo to win this? (Gravel Bikes advised, but be ready to work early…) Powerup: Steamroller
January 3rd Routes – Time to Train
We’re revisiting our National Train Day routes this weekend, with four courses all featuring trains. Choo chooooo!

Race 1: Innsbruckring (5.434km, ends at Legsnapper KOM banner) Always a crowd favorite, Innsbruckring’s Legsnapper is made even more dynamic when the race finishes at its top. Powerup: Feather
Race 2: Countryside Tour (5.261, ends at Country Sprint banner) This one starts with a slight downhill (with train tracks overhead), then it’s essentially pan-flat to the finish. Who will wait for a pack sprint, and who will attack early? Powerup: Ghost
Race 3: Tempus Fugit (6.17km, blind finish exiting twisty tunnel after oasis) Tempus Fugit is the flattest route on Zwift, so this will be fast! This race ends with a bit of a “blind finish” as you exit the twisty tunnel leading from the Oasis. Powerup: Draft Boost
Race 4: Park Perimeter Loop (7.434, ends at sprint banner) The Harlem Hill climb will stretch and split the field. But with a few kilometers left until the line, some riders may be able to chase back onto the front. Powerup: Aero
What are the Tiny Races?
Our innovative Tiny Race format features four short back-to-back races within one hour. Each race is usually 4-7km long, so expect a big VO2 workout!
A single powerup is given as you start each race, and you earn points based on your finishing position in each race. The overall win goes to whoever earns the most points across all four races.

ZwiftPower Results
Zwift displays the finish order in game when you cross the line, but points are computed after all four races are finished, with final results on ZwiftPower. (We have to do some data processing on our side to compute results, so if your rankings don’t show up right away, be patient.)
Riders earn points based on finish position in each of the 4 Tiny Races. The category winner of each week is the rider with the most points across their zone’s 4 races. Here are the links for each zone’s latest results on ZwiftPower:
Rules
Tiny Race rules are simple, but still every week ~10% of our racers get disqualified. Don’t let that be you! Three simple rules:
- You must have a ZwiftPower account, because final results are processed by ZwiftPower (learn how to sign up)
- No skipping then returning. These races are meant to be raced as a set of 4. If you need to leave early, that’s fine… but once you miss a race in your hour’s set of 4, don’t come back and race another or you’ll be disqualified from that race since you rested while others were racing! (Example: racing only races 1 and 2 is fine. Racing 1, 2, and 4 is not – you will be DQ from race 4.)
- Smart trainer/smart bike or power meter required. ZPower/Virtual power is not allowed.
Enjoy the Cooldown

Immediately following each final race, you’ll be taken into a 10-minute cooldown where you can chat with fellow racers and spin out those legs.
