Route Description

Route profile by ZwiftHub – the place to plan and track your route achievements!

Beginning from the new Normandy start pens, you’ll ride counter-clockwise, taking the first left to get onto France’s new roads and take on your first sprint of the day: the Sprinteur Sprint. This is the end of the route lead-in, and the route finishes at the sprint arch. But you’re just getting started!

Very quickly you’ll hit the Sprint du Cratère Reverse, then turn left and another left to get back onto the new roads and attack the longish, uphill Dos d’Âne Sprint.

Next you’ll hang a right to go past the sunflower field and into the village for the Pavé Sprint Reverse, which is followed by the Aqueduc KOM Reverse – the only KOM on this route – but it’s really more of an uphill sprint than a proper climb.

Stay right at the next intersection and you’ll hit the Ballon Sprint Reverse soon enough, before turning right to take on Dos d’Âne Sprint again. This time you’ll turn left afterward, heading past the start pens and turning another left to take on the Sprinteur Sprint once again. (Still got one more attempt left, though!)

Again you’ll hit Sprint du Cratère Reverse, then turn right and ride Les Intestins – the twisty, rolling road that takes you into the marina. Take on the the Marina Sprint Reverse, pedal your way through the mysterious Brittany area of the France map, then turn right onto the new roads once more for a final go at Sprinteur Sprint. That’s your finish line!

Does anyone know how to complete this route? I’ve tried and failed twice now. Both times it starts on the flats and I turned around about a quarter of the way up Ventoux when I realized the avatar wasn’t following the course any more. I selected the route from the Hell of a Route Badge menu, but it seems to be a defective route. Has anyone else completed it?

Just did the route and got the badge without issue. I’d suggest checking you have the latest versions of the Zwift app and Zwift companion, that is usually the problem. Good luck!

I like the new route. A nice mix of roads. Great for a group ride.

Can’t complain about this.

France has been good for group rides. (Especially the “easy” RGV / Douce France). This route is more difficult, but not a “killer route”, so it should play well as a more serious option.

I really like this route. It’s basically RGV with four runs through the cobbles added to spice things up.

I didn’t last week and it’s a great ride and managed just over the hour to ride it even on my climbing bike.

I just finished the route and did not get a route badge or XP credit. I was riding in a Meetup but that has never been an issue before. My Companion and Zwift App are completely updated. The only issue might be one of the riders of the Meetup did a coffee break midway.
