Route Description

Begin at the Highland start pens, travelling CCW and passing through the lap arch before descending The Cliffs and turning right for a reverse loop of the Glasgow Crit Circuit. Take on the Clyde Kicker Reverse, then descend and turn right to exit Glasgow and return to the Highlands.

Continuing our CCW loop of the Highlands, you’ll pass through the Mystical Roundabout, hit the Breakaway Brae, descend the Corkscrew Castle road, and climb back up to the lap arch for a second pass-through.

Now it’s time for the spicy finish. Turn left at the roundabout to head up Sgurr Summit South, the shorter, paved side of the Sgurr. Hup hup!

Can I get double XP for the short AND the long course? Can I ride multiple days and get double XP each time?

You can even stay on a route after the finish and continue to collect double XP. 😉

I did this morning as a Zwift unbound ride and it was fun. It is the perfect mix ofeasy-medium-hard crammed into 7 miles.

However I was getting flashbacks to the pancake and grits course from the summer race series at some points.

Still fun though:)

How much time do I save on the Sgurr with a gravel bike? Is it worth it if I think that the final selection will be made there?

You will certainly lose on a gravel bike.

gravel side is not part of the course, the finish is up the paved side, so def not go with a gravel bike

Free rode this last night. Was quite good fun. Zwift somehow listed the difficulty as 4/5 was obviously is complete nonsense 🙂

First group ride since my come back in fall 2025. So much fun. Question by the way. I didn’t see segments in Zwift app but you mentioned them. Is it a mistake ?

I didn’t get any route badge? Why?

You may have been spawned past the start of the route, or something like that, which could give issues with both the route badge and the Strava segment. Try doing two laps!

Thank you for adding the new NYC routes to VeloView. Are their any plans to add the new NYC KOMs and the new routes from the other worlds?

Thank you,
Jon
