I feel fortunate to stumble into this ‘rode’ and was riveted by his story which was both amazing and as he says mundane in many ways but also awesome examples of how to parent/ coach the right way and unique. This isn’t ‘only’ the story of a historical ‘first’ though also important, but the actual real life path from being a teenager doing what they loved and in some ways he was sating it was unsurprising ending up in the Olympics and bringing a medal home. As a side note near the end there was talk of how few black cycling champions many of us know if and I was smiling since a couple weeks ago bought this wearable history lesson (and sorry but they’re sold out as I write this) … Istill have lots of ‘homework’ to do!
