Zwift version 1.99 begins its phased rollout today. This is a minor update containing mostly bug fixes. Read on for details…
JetBlack Kit Automatic Unlock
Zwifters can now unlock the JetBlack cycling kit by riding with any JetBlack trainer – just connect to the trainer in the Pairing screen and enjoy your ride!
(Note: most trainer manufacturers have an automatic kit unlock in Zwift. Read more here.)
Release Notes
Zwift provided notes on additional tweaks and bug fixes in this update:
- Improved connection reliability for trainers paired via Wi-Fi.
- Fixed an issue that could potentially cause duplicate devices to appear in the Pairing screen when using the Wahoo Kickr Core 2 as a sensor hub.
- Fixed an issue that could cause virtual shifting to be unavailable for Zwifters using the new Zwift Click if they had previously disabled virtual shifting for Zwift Play controllers.
- Improved the appearance of some pedestrians in Paris.
- Windows: Fixed a crash that could occur when exiting Zwift with devices connected via ANT+.

Looking forward to Zwift 2.0 😉
1.100.0 is the next one.
Improved the appearance of some pedestrians in Paris? 😀
they are shaving their armpits now
Pretty much the best comment ever. Though isn’t it the German ladies who do not shave?
Option to remove pedestrians?
I want more pedestrians.. like packed in the streets – the same as the end stage of 2025 TDU
Do they carry a baguette now?!
No more cigarettes?
Well now I wonder what kind of demons Paris had.
Must be their way of tricking us to ride in Paris to see if we can figure it out
Harsh but fair.
Haute couture
Will be interested to see if the WiFi fixes solve the problem with my avatar randomly stopping when I use the suggested WiFi connection from my Kickr bike. I’ve had to force back to regular Bluetooth to get a stable connection
I have the same issue for the last 2 months or so. Initial connection goes quick and just fine, but succenly after an hour or even 2 hours, I get a disconnect and dropout, while I am even connected over Ethernet (DirCon). Clearly a software issue. Would this fix relate to the same issue you think?
Why is virtual shifting still not over Wifi/Dircon? I upgraded to Dircon then virtual shifting comes out “must control resistance over Bluetooth to ensure maximum user frustration”. Even in the pairing screen recommended is Wifi which I have to override or I start with no virtual shifting. Lately when I start with resistance on Bluetooth I get “connection failure”.
Virtual shifting works over WiFi and DirConn. As well as Bluetooth. And via Zwift Companion.
Maybe it works over WiFi/DirCon with some trainers, but it doesn’t work with Elite trainers (e.g. Justo 2)
Can’t wait to see those pedestrians in Paris. Another mind-blowing update from Zwift…
Anybody else have issues withe update on Windows?
Hitting Lets Go either caused a CTD, or brought up a splash page about Zwift Unlocked before returning to the Change User / Let’s Go page.
Ironically Zwift is well and truly Locked for me with the update.
Missed my event because of having to uninstall and redownload & update, assuming it works of course when I do this
Edit at least the reinstall did work
Edit2 – exited to try and get Companion App to Connect, now back to the same situation as started .
Not happy
Those Paris pedestrians!! Glad they cleaned them up…not to judge but they looked more like the were from a farm in Normandy, not at all aloof enough for Parisians. 😂
Got it today. Have spent 30 minutes trying to sign in with no luck. We’ve uninstalled & reinstalled Zwift, restarted computers, cycled router. Nothing.
Same. Ended up downloading MyWhoosh just to be able to have a ride
I believe Zwift also removed the “streamers” from riders using Aero Lightning Socks.
i noticed that the streamers now only come on when you are not in the draft – they act almost like an indicator for drafting effeciency – similar to sauce mod
That actually sounds useful.
It looks like they added some more colorful throw up all over the roads. I hate that the Zwift load time goes up just so that Zwift can assault my eyes with that stuff.
The total badgecount is going like the bitcoin exchange.First 285, thant 292 than 314, now back to 288. The removal off event routes makes it a complex count sadly.
I usually do 2 hours of Coco for foundation fitness once a week, sometimes 2.5 hours. After the update I had to invest 15 Watts more than before, from 220 to 235 and I had to surge up to 3 w/kg to stay in the group at times. It felt much more stressful and I couldn’t enjoy the movie I was watching ;). Has anything substantially changed with the Robopacers?
Would love love love to see some rare costumed pedestrians on the sidelines. Perhaps the Portland Frog doing a little dance?
Just did Ven-Top and noticed the segment timer now shows PR time for the current segment. This is a welcome change from whatever version I was running on October 1.
