When are we getting the Lap or Split functionality? DC Rainmaker was using it months ago.
Zwift said it’s launching in the Spring… not sure beyond that. (DC Rainmaker had access to it at Zwift Community Live in Mallorca back in early April, FYI… along with everyone else who was there.)
Is this the first time-based upgrading road bike?
Oddly no, the Liv Langa Adv SL (now renamed the Liv Langa Adv SL 2021) is also set up that way. Specialized Roubaix S-Works as well. I thought these were errors Zwift was going to fix… now I’m not so sure!
Thank you for the update Eric. I do have an unrelated question, if you don’t mind. Do you know if there is a way to identify an upgraded bike when riding around on Zwift? It would be handy to know if you are riding with or racing against someone on an upgraded bike. Perhaps there could be a marking or other identifiable sign (like a chevron on the brake light) for each upgrade achieved for a bike. Regards, David H.
No way to identify them at this time, although I’ve heard this same comment from lots of Zwifters. Maybe Zwift will add something in the future? I haven’t heard anything about plans to do so.
i would love to see the bikes change colors with each upgrade, bragging rights
At their current speed, it will take ages to get something like that done.😀
Super small issue, not sure if any else has an upside-down After Party badge, but a Zwift rep told me there was a programming error that will need to be patched later, clearly not in this round.
I saw others with that, too. Maybe it’s a limited-edition printing error that’s worth extra $? 😂
If the Giant ends up being faster than the new SL8, there are going to be a lot of unhappy upgraders.
If Zwift’s own words in the description of the SL8 in the drop shop are any indication (“Nothing is faster than the Tarmac SL8…”), I’d say it’s unlikely the Giant tops it. I doubt they feel like changing that description any time soon 😄
So many articles about routes, but is anything actually going on in Zwift? Is Zwift dead?
Last month’s bike upgrade feature (arguably one of Zwift’s biggest ever) is already old news, eh?
There’s this: https://zwiftinsider.com/tsoz-pr-spring-2025/
ECRO Chasing Pink and SISU Pinkki are about to start up, racing-wise those should be big fields and lots of fun
Other than that just grinding out the upgrades on the bikes right? (I mean “training to be healthy and get faster”)
sad; still no lap split and core sensor conectivity 🙁
Every ZWIFT ride I have done over the past week or so pop-ups with weekly goal accomplished for distance when I have yet to hit that goal. Seems to be around 7 miles into my ride (this week). Not sure if this bug is due to the new update or not.
Eric, I have been riding to earn the upgrades to the Tarmac SL8. I completed level 4, but I did not purchase it right away. Instead I went another 200 miles, leaned more drop, etc. Then I went in and purchased the 4th upgrade
. And to my surprise the extra 200 miles did not go to the next level level 5 for the bike upgrade. I had to start all over in the miles. Bummer!!! I thought the miles were supposed to accumulate untill you purchase the upgrade. So I am confused.
Karen S
Yup, that’s how it works. Bummer!
Your efforts don’t count toward the next level until you’ve purchased the previous upgrade.
There is a bug in Aero Lightning Socks. I’m a PC user, and from a certain moment on, Aero Lightning socks are displayed as white instead of blue. It comes out in blue on tablets and mobile phones.
Please allow Zwift to integrate outdoor rides with Bryton cyclometers.
Thanks.
