The big second race of the Zwift World Series happens this weekend, but that’s not all! We’ve picked two other popular race events, plus a couple of social rides that may help you bag a route badge you’ve been looking for. See our picks below!
🥇 Zwift World Series Race 2 – Community
✅ Popular Race ✅ New Route
The Zwift World Series community races are by far the most popular events this weekend, with race #2 being held on the newish “Peak Performance” route (46.6km, 729m). These World Series events happen only once a month, and they’re longer efforts, sort of like a virtual classics race.
This newish route takes you up the Titans Grove KOM Reverse, but that is just a taste of the big climb that lies ahead. After some flat miles, riders will climb The Grade, then continue ascending the Epic KOM before descending back to Watopia proper for the finish. Learn more about the route and race >
Lots of events Saturday and Sunday

🤝Team Velos – Route Bagger Challenge (Radio Rendezvous)
✅ Route Badge ✅ Beginner Friendly
Some of Zwift’s route badges feature longish routes, and it’s a lot more fun to finish these routes with friends! Team Velos holds a monthly Route Bagger Challenge ride to help you “tackle the hardest Zwift routes.”
This Saturday’s ride features Watopia’s newish Radio Rendezvous route (23.5km, 736m). The leader will set a steady pace around 1.9-2.1w/kg.

The popular Iceni Women’s Series is now underway, and this weekend it’s Challenge 4: a 2-lap points race on Loop de Loop for a total length of 25km. With an intermediate sprint and QOM awarding points on each lap, this is going to be strategic and spicy!

How We Make Our Picks
We choose each weekend’s Notable Events based on a variety of factors including:
- Is the event unique/innovative in some way?
- Are celebrities (pro riders, etc) attending/leading?
- Are signup counts already high, meaning the event is extra-popular?
- Does the ride include desirable unlocks or prizes?
- Does the event appeal to ladies on Zwift? (We like to support this under-represented group!)
- Is it for a good cause?
- Is it just plain crazy (extra long races, world record attempts, etc)?
- Is it a long-running, popular weekly event with a dedicated leader who deserves a shout out?
In the end, we want to call attention to events that are extra-special and therefore extra-appealing to Zwifters. If you think your event qualifies, comment below with a link/details and we may just include it in an upcoming post!
