Today, Zwift rolled out a much-requested enhancement to its Companion-based Fitness Tracker. Dubbed “Fitness Trends”, it allows us to track our historic fitness via simple charts in the Companion app:
Start by tapping “Fitness Trends” at the top of your Companion app homescreen. (This is only visible if you’re “offline” with Zwift and not in the live view mode that is automatically enabled when connected to your active Zwift session.)
Fitness Trends is launching with three charts:
- Training Goals: your weekly efforts, inside and out, color-coded by power zone, including a checkmark for the weeks where you hit your goal.
- Training Score: a historic graph of your Training Score, which is the weighted average of daily Stress Points over the past 42 days.
- Training Status: a historic chart of your training status, showing how your Training Score has traveled in and out of the four status zones: Detraining, Fresh, Productive, and Overreaching.
Tapping anywhere on these charts lets you see precise values for a given date.
Each chart includes a configuration dropdown or two:
Note: while the charts’ time windows can be expanded up to 1 year, due to Garmin and Wahoo API restrictions Zwift only imported 90 days of past activities when Fitness Tracking launched back in early April 2025. That means data on these charts prior to January 2025 won’t be terribly accurate/useful.
Scroll to the bottom of the Fitness Trends screen and you’ll find a Week Streak summary:

Importing Your Outdoor Rides
If you also ride outside, Zwift’s Fitness Tracking will only be accurate if you get those outdoor rides imported into Zwift along with your Zwift activities.
This post explains how to import activities from Garmin and Wahoo. In that post, I also explain why I recommend setting an accurate FTP and using a power meter outdoors.
Your Thoughts
What do you think of Zwift’s new Fitness Trends? And more importantly, do you have that coveted 84-week streak showing you haven’t missed a week since Streaks launched? Comment below!

do you have to force an update to the app or will it just happen?
looks like it’s not live yet. No sign of it in companion that i can see and no updates available.
I’ve got it on iPhone
Iphone as well but don’t see it. it’s probably a back end enabled thing so might take some time to enable for all would be my guess
Must be, my phone is showing version 3.71.0 updated 2 days ago, but I get the Fitness Trends on the homepage
actually that’s odd update was not showing but is now
Make sure you have the latest Companion app version (3.71 on iOS, released this week). Then probably restart the app as well. Should do the trick!
Live for me. Just an arrow on right side of fitness opens up the charts
Unless it connects to Strava to import my outdoor rides, it’s pretty useless for me.
Because you are runing Wahoo ?, have found it strange that it is Garmin only at the moment
wahoo and garmin both import to Zwift but you have to pair to your garmin/wahoo accounts not strava
Sorry, though it was Garmin only, Martn Gough must be something else then
Think there’s some rule in the Strava api that you can’t get data from them and build a competing app with that data, hence Zwift having to get the rides direct from wahoo/garmin.
Do we know if the Hammerhead integration is getting anywhere? Until then there’s not much point for me to link up as all the outdoor long rides etc aren’t relevant!
Work is in flight between the Zwift and Hammerhead teams!
What happened to the CORE sensor integration and L/R balance features that were announced with great fanfare at the beginning of spring? Were they quietly abandoned?
Nope. Core stuff is coming very soon. I assume L/R is as well…
While I appreciate that there appears to be movement on this, we are already half way through the NA outdoor season. It is disappointing that as one of the top three devices, that Hammerhead did not have this worked out within weeks of the Zwift roll out, as Wahoo and Garmin were already functional.
I have loved my Karoo 2, however I am now seriously considering going back to Wahoo and purchasing a Roam 3 instead of the Karoo 3.
This will only work for me when they include running and also stop the duplication of Zwift rides.
Agreed.
From my experience they do not even take outdoor rides into account, not properly anyway. Detraining status after a 217km ride outdoors does not sound logical to me.
I found this useless blob on the front page of ZCA so annoying I just stopped using the app, even when zwifting.
We do have Garmin and Wahoo integrated. Have you opted in to sharing this data?
And they really can’t include running until they let runners enter in specific HR Zones.
This. At least half of my activity is running, so until that is included the data will be wildly inaccurate for me. I can see what Zwift are trying to do but it will always be an incomplete picture for most people. I have the Garmin and Strava apps which track all the recorded activities to indicate overall fitness.
At least count running as activity for your streak …. so frustrating loosing your steak during holidays while able to run …. I want my Scotty back!
How long until the option to turn off this feature taking up 2/3 the companion screen is implemented?
How do you have an 84 week streak? I haven’t missed a week and have ridden this week but I’m only at 83.
Because I’ve worked just a little bit harder, I guess! 😀 I have no idea, actually…
IIRC the game version that included streaks was released later in the week or took longer to roll out than normal, so by the time it had rolled out to everyone the new week had started. People who got the update quickly were able to get their streak started a week earlier.
Looks good
Any idea when hammerhead integration is coming?

I have to disagree that fitness tracker enhancements were truly among the “most requested” features by users. This feels more like something Zwift is pushing to keep users engaged and maintain revenue. If you ask AI or look at community feedback, the real top requests are:
Who said they were among the “most requested” features?
You did, first sentence. You could be pedantic and say that isn’t the word you used but I think it’s a reasonable assertion
“Today, Zwift rolled out a much-requested enhancement to its Companion-based Fitness Tracker.”
Well, color me pedantic then… because I called it a much-requested enhancement to a particular feature. Which is entirely different from saying it’s one of Zwift’s most requested features overall.
It’s not like I’m tone-deaf and don’t know what the community has been asking for. But I also know that as soon as the Fitness Tracker launched, people were asking for historical charts of the data…
I would call the chart an “occasionally-requested” feature. The only thing that’s much-requested for their fitness tracker is to disable it.
Eric, not sure who those people were, since from what I see on the official forums mirrors what I see here:
I’m curious about what’s happened to this website. It used to be a community-driven resource, but now it feels like it’s just become a sycophantic marketing channel for Zwift, mainly publishing their press releases. Eric, unlike most of us, you have direct access to Zwift’s decision-makers. Wouldn’t it better serve the community if you used that connection to ask why so many long-standing user requests are still being ignored? People keep raising these issues on the Zwift Forum, but all they get in return is silence.
The main “much-requested” enhancement for the fitness tracker was to provide users with an option to turn it off, as it occupies a lot of screen space and many users already use other, more advanced fitness tracking apps.
Play Store update now available (UK)
I think it’s great it has been added, however to be effective it needs to encompass your overall sporting activity. I may seem ‘ready to race’ when you think about cycling activities (and I agree outdoor activities need to be included) however many people who use it do other sports as well and that needs to be incorporated to give a genuine fitness status report.
I feel that Zwift should concentrate their development efforts on the actual game, there are lots of features that are frequently requested that would bring far more benefit than trying to develop other areas that nobody is really asking for as all this analysis is available else where if people have GPS devices.
I can see why Zwift want our out door data and for me I see no benefit to giving them it.
It’s a good idea, however needs to incorporate other sports as well to give a true reflection of fitness levels etc. Even as a manual input for other sports would work better.
It doesn’t do much good if you have a head unit other than wahoo or Garmin. I have a Bryton s800 so I’m SOL.
it’s not useful to me, since it includes only one out of plenty sports I do. and every outdoor ride is still counted twice (from two devices).
if I look to intervals and VeloViewer I can find everything I need. there I can also avoid the duplicates, filter by activity type, etc.
I really like it. Before I saw the color zones for my efforts each day and each week, I assumed I was doing a fair amount of orange and red. The visuals quickly made clear that I was deluding myself. Over the last few months, I have added more and longer hard efforts, and my FTP has gone up. The companion app update with the overview of my training has been great for me.
Why it doesn’t track running???
Importing outdoor rides an excellent feature. However, the fitness tracker does not give me anything that my smartwatch doesn’t. Can it be turned off? Many thanks.
Anyone else’s map on companion app gone since the new update has come in. Can’t don’t it anywhere.
I noticed they changed the app so the map page isn’t up be default. On iOS at least. I have to click the button at the bottom to see it. (I think the button says “map”?)
As simple as that lol. I knew it was synced because the workout data shows. Thought I clicked every button but not the obvious one. I can now go back to giving everyone kudos. Thanks.
Pretty pointless as it doesn’t take into account running, both on Zwift or outdoors
How can I get my running stats from my zwift runpod displayed together with my cycle stats
Eric, have you heard of any plans to add a weekly climbing goal to the fitness tracker? KMs and time are great but missing climbing.
I have not.
