Zwift Update Version 1.115 (162071) Released

Zwift version 1.115 begins its phased rollout today. The is a minor update, and you can see the release notes below.

Achievements Added to Strava Descriptions

Zwift’s version 1.108 release modified the activity titles and descriptions automatically created for Strava, and that included (for the first time ever) adding content to the activity description. Version 1.108 added the route name to your Strava activity’s description, and today’s release adds more info to the description:

  • New critical power PR
  • Level-up
  • Increased FTP

Here’s a sample from my recent Zwift ride (it was a good ride, since I leveled up and finished the Factory Tour Challenge in one activity):

What would you like to see Zwift automatically add to your Strava activity’s description field? Here are a few ideas off the top of my head:

  • Earning any achievement badge (show the name of the badge)
  • Getting on the podium in a race
  • Topping a segment leaderboard/getting the leader’s jersey

Release Notes

Zwift supplied the following additional release notes:

  • Fixed an issue where the orange century stripe was not extending across the left corner with the blue background on the riders nearby list.
  • Improved the icons used in the customizable HUD to better differentiate between whole-activity averages and split averages.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause certain visual effects (e.g., lightning socks, aero lightning socks, water spray, shadows) to appear while a Ghost power-up was active.
  • iOS, tvOS: Fixed an issue that prevented some Zwifters from updating numeric profile fields (e.g., weight) in locales that use commas as decimal separators.

It’s OK for Zwift to add things as long as I have the ability to delete them.

Only if they put the route back in the ride title.

I would like the route back in the title, as it now has disappeared from my title in Garmin. Or also put in in the notes in Garmin.
They might be able to make this a setting that you as an individual can adjust.

  • route name
  • workout name
  • level (up)
  • bike ridden / upgrade bikelevel
  • badge
  • RotW/CotW
  • XP earned
  • race result

Just my 2 cents.

Take a look in Paris – this same update has released new roads you can see on the map! You can’t ride them yet, but they should go public later this month

Where did you find the new routes in Paris? Because its not on de Paris map after the installation off update 1.115?

You can see the roads they’re going to use on the top right map now, but you can’t ride them just yet. If you go on the Champs-Elysees route, you can see the new roads to the right-hand side just before the lap start/finish banner. They are the roads that lead up to Montmatre. Should be available for public riding in the next couple of weeks

Dang… had hopes of the new Specialized Crux landing in an update soon. Any rumors of that happening? Itching to get started on a third Spec bike upgrade path…

Any chance Zwift can look into making the HUD leaderboard even somewhat accurate?

I’d like to opt out of description changes to be honest.

Can Zwift put a special icon beside any rider who has been featured on Zwift Insider?

A bonus 50 XP points for earning any lap, sprint, or KOM jersey would be a nice perk, and not to much to ask.

That seems like it would further incentivize weight dopers and the like.

over 90% are weight doping, & if you think you are part of the 10%, you’re fooling yourself.

I cannot launch Zwift today. The login window appears but when I click the “Let’s go” button it closes and Zwift does not launch. Could it be due to the update? How to solve this problem?

Same here. So annoying as I had problems with Zwift freezing my PC in January and now again issues.

Zwift should do more, much more, to support and recognize the ride leaders and sweeps. i.e. tools for leaders and sweeps like a lasso to pull backmarkers up to the main group, XP or drops awarded to riders who receive a ride-on from the beacons, a badge on the jersey, or a stripe (like the level 100 badge) for people who have led or swept at least one event. Extra XP or drops for leading or sweeping (the Herdlings would finally get a haycheck!). Add beacons to the ride descriptions.

The number of XP’s awarded by challenges is now displayed when you click on the challenge card, e.g. COTW, ROTW, but also on multi-step challenges like the Quickfire 30.
IMHO, the most interesting feature of this release.

Even though I have version 1.115.2, I don’t see any changes in the cards after completing the challenges (QuickFire, l’Etape).
Could you take a screenshot to show what you mean?

Oh, thanks for the screenshot.
I asked what you meant by the XP points because I’ve had those XP values since these challenges first launched—I think on May 12 or 15—so on version v1.113 or v1.114.
They weren’t introduced in v1.115—they’ve been there since the challenges began.

Yeah just to emphasize it here in the comments: They should absolutly add NOTHING to the descriptions…. always have to delete this garbage…

Cadence info for workouts!

And the ever present white on yellow text for robo rides. Text needs to be another colour to be easily visible.

They seem to have “fixed“ the “issue“ where I could go into the drop shop and use the colour slider to change the colour of bikes where they had disabled the colour slider in the garage 😢
