Route Description

Route profile by ZwiftHub – the place to plan and track your route achievements!

The actual Queen’s Highway loop is rectangular and 3km long, but it begins with a lead-in of approximately 2.4km from the regular spawn point located in central Harrogate north of the start/finish and start pens. You will pass the Royal Pump Room on your right as you make your way north to the Cairn Hotel:

Passing the Cairn Hotel

Climb up Kent Road, and give the long sprint all you’ve got. Once you’re through the lap banner the lead-in is finished and your first Queen’s Highway loop has officially begun.

(Warning: the sprint segment is uphill and rather long–almost 400 meters! So you’ll have to pace yourself.)

The residential area you are riding through is an extremely desirable piece of real estate IRL, and one of the poshest places in all of England to live. Fun fact: all the land is owned by the Duke of Lancaster who is, in fact, the King.

After you descend Cornwall Road you will climb past the Cairn Hotel again and up Kent Road for another sprint effort to finish your first full lap.

That’s one lap down – you’ve got four more to go, then you’ll hang a right at the bottom of the descent to head up the Yorkshire KOM Reverse for a spicy finish!

Through the Yorkshire KOM Reverse finish line.

This route doesn’t show up in my club event’s list of available routes. All the other routes from this update do, though.

In addition to this route there is another ‘problematic’ one namely:
‘Libby Hill After Party’ – it is admittedly on the list, but after creating an event for it, an error is displayed and the event cannot be saved.

Does this route work in Zwift? I rode the Queen’s Highway (6 times to the sprint line, so 5 laps) and manually turned right for the after party, but it did not award me the badge or XP and it also didn’t show up in Strava (not that it means anything relating to Zwift except that I may have made a mistake somewhere, but I can’t see one).

Any way of completing this route at present apart from waiting patiently for someone to add an event or for Zwift to release it as a free ride?

why isn’t anyone adding this route to any events? I checked zwift Hacks and not a single event scheduled. is this route even available for event planners to choose?

I’ve been seeing this route completed this month by a couple off people on September 8, 9 and 13th. Asked one on strava and he just said it pooped out in the homescreen at JUST RIDE.

Same for Yorkshire DubleLoops route. Trying to figure out for almost 2 days what is the schedule for these routes. On Ipad is having other options compare to PC windows.

Managed to catch Sisha Shakedown and Richmond loop around event routes on the same menu.

I’ve been trying to schedule a Club event for Queen’s Highway After Party with no luck. This route, and Richmond Loop Around, Yorkshire Double Loop, and Shisha Shakedown, are all showing in the app badges, in Zwift Companion, and Zwift Insider Master List of Routes. But when I try to schedule any of these routes they do not show in routes for creating a club event.

I’m a newbie at Clubs so there may be some operator error, but I do see Queen’s Highway After Party pop-up in events occasionally so I think someone knows how to access this route for Events.

I want to get the badges, but I can wait until the future release when these become routes become open for free riding.

I don’t see being able to use the in game “For You” to show these as the app only shows events in the next hour. I can’t plan or schedule around that.

Wrong reference for the activity. It misses the ” ‘ ” in Queen’s in the search 🙂

The Strava segment incorrectly includes the lead in. The route should start at the banner where the laps start and end

@Eric Schlange It looks like your Strava section is including the lead in which has caused an issue as my ride started slightly forward of where you have started the section and as a result I’m not on the leaderboard.

its also a different start point to the Queen’s Highway (with lead in) segment which is a bit further forward and will catch more people.

I think there is a small mistake in the description of the route. The Duke of Lancaster is probably the King now (and not the Queen).

The Strava segment for this route is broken. I just did a freeride on the route and it matched with the Queen’s Highway After Party (OLD) segment but not with a new one. As of today there are no matches for this segment. This indicates that Strava has a bug in matching segments that start in a loop and then loop back multiple times (same issue occurs with Deca Dash route). This should be reported to Strava and fixed. Here is my ride on Strava: https://www.strava.com/activities/13375702658
