Bike Selection

Go aero! There’s a bit of dirt here, but the route is mostly surfaces which roll fastest on road bikes. And while there’s a bit of climbing, an aero bike will outperform a climbing rig even on the uphills since they’re not very steep or long. See Fastest Frames and Wheels at Each Zwift Level >

Route Description

Route profile by ZwiftHub – the place to plan and track your route achievements!

Beginning at the Mech Isle start pens, wind your way around the Isle and across the bridge to Festival Harbor’s colorful boardwalk and its Boardwalk Sprint. This is the first of four sprint points you will cross on this route! Then turn left and ride to Mangrove Maze, taking the more climby inner road before descending and turning left again to take on the Tidepool Sprint.

Then it’s another left turn toward Mech Isle, where you’ll ride the dirt road up the climb then descend back to the pavement to cross the bridge a second time to Festival Harbor. But here you’ll turn right, beginning your climb up to the highest point in Urukazi, near the shisa and onto the boardwalk which hosts the Shisa Sprint.

Descend through the bamboo forest back to the main Festival Harbor boardwalk, then head to Mangrove Maze once again, this time taking the outer road before taking on the Tidepool Sprint a second time.

You’re at the home stretch! Just a bit of Mech Isle road left. Once you ride through the virtual start/finish banner, your Urukazi island tour is complete.

I live in the US central time zone and jumped on to ride stage 6, but the event is not listed anymore. Bummer. I thought I had through Nov 30.
