“Flat Out Fast” Route Details (Watopia)
Added to the game in August 2025 as an event-only route to host events for Zwift Camp: Baseline, this route is second only to Tempus Fugit in overall flatness (measured in meters of climb/kilometers of distance). Which makes sense, since this route is essentially Tempus Fugit with a longer, slightly uphill lead-in!

Route Description
Begin in downtown Watopia and head out Ocean Boulevard for a quick moment before turning left to head toward Fuego Flats. (This bit of false flat is as close as you’ll get to a climb on this route.)
You’ll be on this desert road for the remainder of the route. Hit the Fuego Flats Sprint, then settle in for a flat, fast ride all the way to the town of Saddle Springs, where you’ll turn around at the LAX roundabout and head back the way you came, covering the long Fuego Flats Sprint Reverse along the way.
Through the rock arch once more, then use the loop to turn around and hit the Fuego Flats Sprint once final time. The route ends at the sprint finish line… go go go!
A note about laps: while this route may appear to be lappable, that’s not how Zwift has it set up as of November 2025. If you program your event to cover more than 1 lap of this route, riders will be randomly routed at every intersection after the first lap finishes.

Who is this for? Events that want an extra sprint? I guess that’s interesting, but I feel like I’m missing something. This is essentially the Flats all over again.
Agreed. It’s not even like a Rebel Route that strings together some existing roads in a new configuration. It’s an extension to the existing lead-in road that could shell out some riders from the start, but none that would have made a difference at the end.
I sorta thought the same thing. 🤔I don’t create the routes, though, I just write about ’em! 😀
Agreed. Its a bit redundant really when we have Tempus and fuego already, its not really adding anything. Would have been marginally better if it had been made 10miles exactly so we could have a UK TT replica.
Fuego Flats has to be the most boring stretch of Watopia. I’m wondering if they need additional flat roads in Watopia so that every route that’s flat doesn’t have to go through Fuego Flats.
Every time I go through Fuego Flats, I see more riders there than anywhere else, so that would also support the notion that we need more flat roads elsewhere
I assume this is designed for a route based workout that would require you to do a sprint effort then recover and do a TT effort, using the existing segments on that route.
It’s just Tempus Fugit with a bit more time to warm up before the first sprint segment.
This would’ve been a sweet route if it looped around Volcano and over to the end of Tempus turnaround for a looping route. The new routes that got added in July ’25 is… weird; whenever we’ll actually get to see them.
Is this a loop, meaning appropriate for a longer group ride?
its a one way route.
