“Elevation Evaluation” Route Details (Watopia)
If you’re looking for a single route that includes The Grade for an FTP test, this is it. While Oh Hill No begins right at the bottom of The Grade, Elevation Evaluation begins around 3km from the start of The Grade (if free riding) or around 6km from the start if you ride it in an event. This should provide ample warmup time before taking on The Grade as an FTP test.

Route Description

This route is a clockwise loop beginning on the southern coast road, heading up The Grade, descending the Epic KOM forward, then returning to the start line via the southern coast road. The official route begins and ends at the Sasquatch Sprint banner, but events have a lead-in from the coastal pens of around 3km.
Starting at the Sasquatch Sprint, ride along the coastal road until you reach Ciudad La Cumbre (“Summit City”) and turn right to head up The Grade. This climb is a built-in FTP test (read how it works here), so if you want to test your FTP, try to set an even pace for the duration of the climb.
Once you reach the top, you’ll turn right to descend the Epic KOM, then another right to take the short climb through the edge of Titans Grove before dropping down into Saddle Springs and taking the LAX roundabout to the southern coast road.
This rolling road follows the coastline, taking you over the Woodland Sprint as well as the Sasquatch Sprint whose banner serves as the finish line.
