Route Description

Route profile by ZwiftHub – the place to plan and track your route achievements!
This counterclockwise loop is one of the oldest routes in Zwift’s London map. You’ll begin with a ride along rolling roads near the Thames before turning a hard right for a quick climb up to Trafalgar Square, followed by a descent past Big Ben.
Cross the Thames and you’ll find yourself descending into an Underground station, which magically transports you out into the Surrey countryside to ride up Box Hill.
From the top of Box Hill, you’ll descend the other side (called Fox Hill here on Zwift), then enter another Underground station to be taken back into London for the last bit of the circuit, which takes you across Tower Bridge.
The route ends where it began, at the London lap arch. If you’re in a race, be ready for the fast, slightly downhill final sprint!

Hey Eric, what setup would you recommend for a race on this course? I was thinking of the SL7/3.4s. I’m the most lightweight rider in my league/cat and hoping to make a difference on box hill but not sacrifice too much aero on the rest of the course.
Tron is the best choice probably. Or Venge with disc wheels.
I’d go Tron. Box Hill isn’t really long or steep enough for a lightweight rig to make enough difference to matter.
What if the race ends on top of Box Hill? 2,5 laps of the loop and 3 ascents of Box Hill..
Love Zwift and Zwift insider
I’m doing this as a iTT next week. Would you recommend a TT bike or my best other frame/wheel combo. Not got a Tron bike yet.
Hi tim , your best TTbike is the best option as there is no drafting in ITT races usually.. and the climb is only 3 000m ..
Appears the TDZ’23 edition would cover start/finish of this route to appear in Strava/Veloviewer. Anyone know otherwise?
Hi Eric, happy holidays! Just a heads up: the search link ‘Upcoming Events’ to Zwift Hacks is incorrect, when you have time (I know you’re a busy man), could you remove ‘%20reverse’ from the URL, it currently shows events for london loop reverse (currently none), whereas once corrected in the browser interface, I get what I’m looking for. In the meantime, anyone looking can just edit the line in their browser field. (I was looking for events on several laps of a 10km circuit with a hill – this fits the bill). Trevor
Fixed!
