Zwift has rolled out a fresh Mission for June focused on exploring Watopia, our favorite virtual cycling paradise. You can complete the mission by completing (for the first time) any three Watopia routes. Of course, the big idea here is to ride some of the new Watopia routes releasing this month! (Watch for news on Watopia’s “The Grade” expansion launching mid-June.)
Note: signups opened earlier this week, but the Mission doesn’t begin until May 31.
Getting Started
To begin the Mission, select the mission card on your homescreen and click to register:

Once you’ve registered, clicking the mission card will show your Mission progress.

Completing the Mission
After registering for the mission, complete at least three different routes in Watopia that you’ve never completed before.
Want to finish the mission by riding totally new routes? Watch for news on Watopia’s “The Grade” expansion, which includes several new routes releasing mid-June!

This is a bit of a lame mission.
You could do the 3 shortest routes and bang, it’s completed.
I don’t get it.
The idea of riding the new routes, yes great, more badges as well, but any route, really! 😳
It’s pretty much on par with most other missions from the last couple of years.
Those missions aren’t catered to people who ride all the time but for people who might ride once or twice a week and maybe only 20-30 minutes each time. They probably could have started a 4 week mission on the day the expansion is released and let people ride the three shortest new routes though. Other than that they’re certainly not trying to make the goal unreachable for people people who don’t ride indoors the second week of June.
Not sure if you can answer this, but do these have to be routes we started as a route? So something loaded as a free ride, workout, or event?
Or would riding Volcano Circuit with Yumi count as a route as long as I do one complete lap from start to finish as part of the ride (or tempus fugit or whatever with Coco or whatever pace partner)?
The pace partner scenario wouldn’t count for getting me a route badge, so I’m guessing it wouldn’t count for this, but just curious (most of my rides are with the pace partners these days).
You can do it with a Robopacer – but you’ll need to join the Robopacer, then pass the start point of the route, then keep riding all the way to the finish line of the route.
You can also pick a route from the list then free ride it.
Or do the route as part of any event.
Same requirements as earning a route badge in game currently, basically. You just can’t choose one route, then manually steer your way through a different route and assume the game will give you that new route’s badge. It has to be a selected route (and picking a Robopacer to join from the homescreen does select a route.)
Huh, I guess I must never have just gone starting line through finish line completely when trying to complete badges with the robopacers. That’s good to know that you can (and it works for this for those days that I want to do paced rides and a robopacer at a power level I’m looking for is doing something with a short lap).
Yes, and you can jump between Robopacers and get credited with completing multiple routes on the same ride as I found out today.
