“Macaron” Route Details (France)

While not the shortest route in Zwift (the Crit City routes are shorter), Macaron has the distinction of being the shortest point-to-point route in Zwift and the shortest route in France.

Route Description

This is a short route with a short description.

You’ll begin at the Normandy start pen, turning right to head toward Brittany for a bit before turning left onto France’s new, cobbled roads.

From here, you’ve got just 1km to go until the finish. You’ll hit the start line of the Sprinteur Sprint with 250 meters to go, and that sprint arch marks the end of the route.

Does anyone have an idea what this route will be used for?

Doesn’t make much sense for a bike event, it not even loop. Ok maybe for a short running event 🤔

Silly route, there is a badge for it. Quite curious to know when this last badge can be won.

Thanks for the info. Looks like the best way to score the last badge.

So who’s going to organize the first 40–50 km race on this course, choose your own adventure style? Equal chance of turning either way in intersections after the route ends, the un/luckiest might have to make it all the way to Ventoux and back.

Not available for a club event as of yet. What does it take to create an event on this route?

Dumb route. Who’d ever do a 5 minute event?

Perfect for an omnium night. All short and spicy VO2-max efforts. Or for the Tiny Races

This is now my only incomplete route. Not showing up with anything on the ZH event schedule. Frustrating, with France world scheduled in a few days. Guessing it’ll become a regular route….eventually.

Same, plus Yorkshire Double, frustrating that it’s almost impossible to get these badges. No idea why we can’t free ride these…

Has this been removed as a route badge? As well as the 4 recently added badges?

EDIT: My bad, just read the Update 1.96 article. What a terrible idea of Zwift to make it more difficult for users to find out which badges they are still missing.

It’s been months now. If zwift was planning something for this route then it never came to fruition.
