Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 End of Season Sale Announced

Zwift and Wahoo have just launched an “end of season” promotion on the Wahoo KICKR CORE 2 smart trainer. The deeply discounted price is as low as it’s ever been, matching Black Friday pricing. If you’re in the market for a full-featured smart trainer at a great price, backed by industry-leading support… this is it.

Promo Pricing

  • US $399.99 ($150 discount)
  • EU €399.99 (€150 discount)
  • UK £399.99 (£100 discount)

The deal begins today (February 5) and runs through March 1 on Zwift and Wahoo’s websites.

Price includes 1 free month of Zwift ($20 value) for new subscribers only, and you can purchase the trainer with either the Zwift Cog or a standard cassette.

Still $900 AUD. Maybe subscription fee could be reduced for Aussie users to make up for the fact we get absolutely shafted with hardware costs.

Still no discounts in Canada – and eye watering shipping fees 🙁

To put some numbers on this, the US price (US$400) converted to Canadian is CA$550, but the best price on wahoo’s canada site is CA$900, 63% more expensive! And Canadians can usually pay a touch extra on shipping and order from the US, it’s insanity.

Interesting. My kickr core 1 (bought Jan 2025) developed a noise fault one year after I took delivery. Still worked just loud. Anyway wahoo replaced it (with another core 1) and I asked if I could retain the obsolete unit as a spare for a nominal fee. I mean they were probably going to bin it anyway weren’t they ? I offered £100 they wanted £220. It went back. Now I can buy a brand new Core 2 for less than double the price of a broken obsolete unit. Way to go.

Anyone aware why they are not doing this sale action in Canada?

Wahoo/Zwift have been screwing Canada on price for a long long time. You could save hundreds by ordering the same thing from amazon.com even including all shipping and importing fees. It’s stupid.

Id love to go back in time and not bought a core 2. The power is too inaccurate to even use on zwift. Feels like I have to pit out 30% more power for the same watt readings as my core 1. Ugh.

I bought one on Tuesday for regular price from Zwift. What is the likelihood Zwift will give me some $ back to match the sale price?

Meh…

I maybe would’ve considered upgrading my V4 for the V6 for 599 around X-Mas, but that deal was for the US only and I’m in EU. They can keep their CORE (2).
