A word about accuracy: as much as possible, we’ve used Zwift’s in-game numbers for segment length, gradient, etc. Occasionally, in-game data is incorrect; however, we will post accurate numbers whenever possible. (Strava data may differ slightly from what is shown in game as well.)

Thanks for the list, nice to have them all in one place. The third row segment name is missing ‘Reverse’ (Central Park Loop Reverse)

Despite Rule #24 “Speeds and distances shall be referred to and measured in kilometers.”, I appreciate the imperial conversions on this table.
Metric measurements are hard for me to convert.

Thank you!

That’s a nice, interesting and useful list.

Contrasting that segment list with the route list has resulted in enlightenment. I didn’t realize that these Zwift segments are intrinsically different from Zwift routes. Before now, I thought it was just routes.

If I understand correctly now…

Segments:

  • Must have an Orange jersey.
  • Don’t have badges.
  • Don’t include sprints or KOMs.
  • May be incorporated as a segments within larger or identical length routes.
  • ZI info under zwiftinsider.com/segment/
  • Should name the closed curve a “loop”.

Routes:

  • May contain sprints which have have green jerseys
  • May contain KOMs which have polka dot jerseys
  • May contain closed curve segments that have an orange jersey.
  • Usually have badges
  • ZI info under zwiftinsider.com/route/
  • Should name the closed curve as a “circuit”.

Overlaps:
Most segments are attached to routes with the same name.

Different names for the same route/segment path are:

  • Hilly Route/Hilly Loop
  • Hilly Route Reverse/Hilly Loop Reverse
  • Jungle Circuit/Jungle Loop
  • Jungle Circuit Reverse/Jungle Loop Reverse
  • The Epiloch/Loch Loop Reverse
  • Times Square Circuit/Times Square
  • 2015 Worlds Course/UCI Course
  • 2018 UCI Worlds Course Short Lap/UCI Lap
  • 2019 UCI Worlds Harogate Circuit/UCI Worlds

CONCLUSION BY INDUCTION
A segment is something to add to a route, similar to a sprint or KOM.
A route is a collection of things, some of them may give out jerseys.

Previously, the name overlaps and inconsistent naming conventions threw me for a loop. 😂

The question is, which of these lap segments have counters? Besides Vulcan or Jungle.
I wonder why not all of them have a lap counter?
And why only the Vulcan has badges? 🙂

These make a great Mega Challenge.Do either forward or reverse and get as many jerseys as possible. Innsbruck is a tough one.
