“Tair Dringfa Fechan” Route Details (Watopia)
Designed by Zwifter Bryan Culliford (CLS), this route won the ZRL 2024/25 Round 2 design contest, earning it the right to be added to the game and raced for the final race of the round.
Here’s how Bryan describes the route:
Tair Dringfa Fechan (translated from Welsh as Three Little Climbs) is a route determined to test riders before reaching the finish at the mighty Titans Reverse segment banner. The route tackles two short climbs first. The first climb is a tough one without any powerups, but a long downhill offers chasers a chance to catch up. The second climb follows, where you might receive a feather or an aero helmet powerup, depending on your luck – one for the breakaway or the chase. For the final climb, you’ll have three chances to get a feather powerup. Do you gamble and use it early, or save it for the push to the finish?

Route Description

Route profile by ZwiftHub – the place to plan and track your route achievements!
The route begins in downtown Watopia, taking riders down into the Ocean Boulevard tunnel before turning left at Sequoia Circle and hitting the first and largest climb of the day, at the base of the Epic KOM.
After crossing the suspension bridge, the route mercifully takes a right onto the Epic KOM bypass for a twisty, slightly downhill ride along the cliff’s edge. Turn right at the next intersection to descend even more, down to the Marina, before riding up and over to the Italian Villas. You have a choice to make: stop in for pizza, or go all-in for the green jersey at the JWB Sprint!
The next climb is just up the road as we head up the base of the Hilly KOM Reverse. But we’ll do something no other route does at this point, turning left onto the bypass road then right to head up the Hilly KOM forward to the banner.
Descend back to where you just were and head back to the Italian Villas, but this time you’ll descend the Dirty Sorpressa and head to the Volcano. Climb up the quick ramp and head inside the mountain, then make your way back to downtown Watopia. The last bit of this course is just ahead, and it’s ~5 kilometers of twisty, rollercoaster roads with a climb to cap it off!
Heading out Ocean Boulevard once more, we’ll turn left toward Fuego Flats, then right into Titans Grove. This is where the rollercoaster begins. You’ll want to modulate your power to efficiently keep your speed up and maintain your position in the pack if you’re racing, because the final test arrives with 1 kilometer to go. You’ll hit a quick descent, a few twisty curves, then the start line of the Titans Grove KOM Reverse. Go all in on this climb – the finish line as at the top!

This is actually a very nice race route, the climbs don’t drag on forever but there is a meaningful amount. There is enough flats to either catch or break, and a nice variety of scenery too. There is also enough key features apart from the climbs to allow for further selections if riders want to force the issue. I like it.
Just done the recon of this course and actually really like it – the climbs are a good length and elevation and there is a chance to bridge or breakaway
This looks like nice route just to ride.
Great race route…just enough Pain!!
Why just an event route?
It was created for Zwift Racing League and was initially exclusive to that series.
Just like BRAEK-fast Crits and Grits it will become available for free rides shortly.
Hi Eric, it seems like this route is missing on ZwiftHub, can you add it? Thanks!
You have started the route at the wrong point. There is a 0.4km lead in at the start. Your segment incorrectly includes the lead in.
Our segment may include a small portion of the lead-in, but since this isn’t a looped route, that doesn’t matter much. What’s important is that it starts at a spot where both free rides and events will match the segment.
How is a lead in even defined for a non-looping route?
My favourite route on Zwift, just the right balance of fast and uppy downy 😃
