Zwift Update Version 1.103 (156100) Released

Zwift version 1.103 begins its phased rollout today. This is a minor update containing visual improvements and bug fixes.

Release Notes

  • Improved drafting behavior on steep gradients – the steeper the climb or descent, the more the change will be noticeable. Note: This was actually rolled out last week… read Zwift Insider post for more details >
  • Various visual improvements in New York.
  • macOS: Fixed an issue that caused Ultra graphics to not be enabled for devices with Apple M3 chips.
  • Fixed a crash that could potentially occur when joining an event while in worlds without intersections, e.g. Paris.

Is this more draft changes? The draft changes were broadcast last week and based on the last update. So is this an additional change or just restating what has been in place for the last week?

Shuji said that the escalators were fixed in NYC… well he actually said to go try them and see if they have been fixed? Any chance you can get some actual info from Zwift on what changes were made?

As if heavier riders aren’t punished enough. 😁

Thanks for this info. It explains why I can go in side by side with my wife pushing the exact same w/kg in ERG and all I do is watch her pull away going up the escalator. 🤦‍♂️

Eh? Heavy riders (well, more correctly, powerful riders) already have a big advantage in most Zwift events due to the lack of climbing.

I don’t hear you complaining about the Power Segments or the badges given when you reach a 1000-1100-1210 watts?

Those challenges are seriously biased towards the heavier riders.

Currently I’m sitting at 72kg and and estimated FTP of 281, so I’m smack in the middle of the playing field: jack-of-all-traits, master of none. The pain is real.
Too heavy to follow the real climbing javelins, too skinny to hang on to the flat section rockets.
But hey, now I have a goal 😏

I took this screen shot yesterday, he has since edited his reply to something like “we are tracking a few issues, which one did you mean?”

Unrelated to this – I just got to level 97. Eric – what are the odds that the level cap increases before I can hit 100? I’m averaging about a level every 2 weeks now but that’s probably going to slow down because I’m just about caught up on route badges.

Taking that hint as x-mas 2025 present from Zwift is rumored to be more levels? =)

Been unhappily stuck at level 100+++ for a long time, I’m ecstatic to hear Eric not denying it’s in the works and coming soon!!

You missed the new routebadges again Eric 🙂 Should begin my own site. Empire Elevation, Kaze Kicker, Hudson Hustle, Cobbled-Crown. Peaky Pave and The Epiloch.

When searching for Hudson Hustle route, the link takes you to Kaze Kicker details. Thanks for detailing the new Event Only routes Eric.

This upgrade has removed all my routes badges and bike upgrades. The GUI is also broken. Using Apple TV. Anyone else had these issues?

After today’s ride I noticed a completely revamped ride summary screen. I did not take screenshot, but remember things like XP earned jn this ride, progress with upgrades, and many more items that I have never seen before. It looked much more interesting and useful than the previous version. Is this just new to me, was this introduced with this software update, or did I somehow become a beta-tester?

Did I miss the memo about the update to the achievement badge section? After banging on about it for seven years, they have finally removed the running badges from overall game progress.

you have to pair running stuff to see them” – it took them 7+ years to figure that out? Don’t get me wrong, I’m delighted to see this but jeez.
You are right about the hidden route badges, that recent ‘fix’ went out of date pretty quick.
