That Tron in 3 months is a bit misleading. There’s no real trick to cycling up 50km of hills. While it’s using a bit of a pendulum effect, who wants to be constantly U-turning repeatedly for an hour at a time for 3 months. I guess he got the views to his YouTube channel though.
You might as well do the titans grove back and forth, or simply enjoy all sorts of rides and let the ascent meters stack up.
It’s boring, but it works perfectly. I gave it a try today. With almost no effort (less than 2 Watts per kg) I gained 1,000 m of elevation in 70 mins. As I’m going for Tron and 8,000 m are missing, I did the same thing 3 hours later. That means, if you’re just going for the Tron and put anything aside, it’s easy to do 2,000 m of elavation in one day with about 2,5 hours riding. So it will take you exactly 25 days, not 3 months.
