Route Description
You begin from the Glasgow start pens, heading through the Champion’s Sprint and completing a full lap (and then some) of the Glasgow Crit Circuit. Then it’s time to head into Scotland’s outer loop, climbing the draggy uphill through The Cliffs which will also serve as your finishing climb at the end of the route.
Through the lap arch, then it’s a descent down to the Corkscrew Castle climb (attack!) and a hard right to go past Nessie before turning left and hitting Breakaway Brae, which is technically a KOM even though it feels more like an uphill sprint!
Descend from the Brae, turn left onto Nessie’s road once more, then right to head back to Glasgow. You’ll go through the Mystic Roundabout and up the straight false flat before entering the city proper, where you will complete another lap of the Glasgow Circuit which includes the sprint/KOM Clyde Kicker.
Head out of Glasgow once more… it’s time for the final draggy climb to the finish. 1.5km to go… will someone go for a long attack? Or do you surf the wheels on the draftable climb and hope for a pack sprint finish?
The route ends at the lap arch.
