2022 Bambino Fondo

Route Description

We begin just like the 2022 Gran and Medio Fondo routes: in downtown Watopia, heading around the Volcano then out past the Spruce Goose and up the beginning of the Epic KOM Reverse before cutting across via the cliffside KOM cutoff road. Next we head up through the redwoods to Fuego Flats Reverse, circling back to Fuego Flats forward.

Then we descend through the redwoods and into the Ocean Boulevard tunnel, arriving in downtown Watopia where we proceed through to the finishing challenge: the Volano KOM. Give it all you’ve got – the route ends at the KOM banner!

Looks easier than the previous bambino fondo; less climbing and no jungle. Should be faster group/pack speeds.

Full aero and tron is fastest if you don’t have disc wheels

This was a really fun route. It was pretty easy to find a descent sized group at any pace. I prefer this route over the previous Bambino route.

Does this route give bonus XP for first-completion, if so how much?
