It is a precise replica of the Prudential RideLondon Classique route, which is described as “beginning on The Mall in St James’s Park, going up Constitution Hill, turning at the top to come down and on to Birdcage Walk, then passing Big Ben and turning left on to Whitehall and right on to the Strand before turning again to come back up the Strand, through Trafalgar Square, Admiralty Arch and back on to The Mall.”
The lead-in is only ~0.4 km. I was just warming up and the route was over.
Indeed wanted to say exactly the same thing. They have changed the lead-in.
Route with lead in was just under 5.9km and 16m
I just did the last Tour de Zwift stage on this route, and I agree, here it was a 5.9km lead in. I’ll try free riding it someday when I’m warming up and I’ll report where I start.
I think the lead in depends on whether you’re racing (long lead in from start pens) or free riding it (short lead in).
I found the same as has been stated. Free ride (not event) and the badge popped around 5.7-5.9km. I was delighted as I’m working my way through all my remaining badges consecutively and needed a quiet day!

Maybe I’m missing it, but why don’t they ever state the number of laps in the stage? Anyone know how many laps in the A Cat? Thanks,

The number of laps is listed on the companion app when viewing the options for the stage.
Why is London elevation still not fixed!! Claims to be 83 feet, I just finished and it was 46 ft.and still only counting evey 7 ft of climb… Its been like this for almost a year that I know of??
