Route Description

You begin by turning right out of the pens, going on a sort of reverse Innsbrucking route which takes you through the reverse sprint segment and down the Leg Snapper. Then you get to enjoy the last of the flat roads as you head out of town toward the big climb.

When you turn right at the fork at the underpass you know it’s time to begin climbing the Innsbruck KOM Reverse! This 6.9%, 5.8km beast is the decisive feature on this route and occupies half of the overall distance. Don’t let the 6.9% number fool you, either… the climb includes some significant flat sections, which means the uphills are steeper than 6.9%.

The route ends at the top of the climb.

Why has Zwift never introduced a Innsbruckring Reverse course? Seems easy enough. The sprint segment is there already.

Did this route today as part of two hour group ride. After the descent the route continues into and around town, and then back up the kom. Oddly, our group split in two, so half went in one direction around town and back up the shorter steeper kom, and the other half went in the opposite direction around town, and then up the longer kom.

How do I find an event on this route? I’d like to ride it, but I’m unsure how to do so.
