Route Description

Route profile by ZwiftHub – the place to plan and track your route achievements!

The route begins at a large stone arch located 4.1km from the start pens, but free riders will spawn just before the arch.

Once you’re through the start arch you’ll decend the dirt a bit before turning right onto the Mayan Bridge road. This twisty cutoff road is a mixture of dirt, stone, and wood, and takes you across the river to the other side of the Jungle Circuit.

Turn right at the end of the cutoff and you’re back on the Jungle Circuit, riding uphill. Wave to the sloth, cross the rope bridge, and descend to the stone arch/start finish. All done!

Was excited when I saw the name of the route as if there would be new gravel/dirt routes available. How many ways can they reuse the same roads…

Yeah, it does kinda feel like they are just creating new routes to give all of us badge hunters out there another thing to do eh? They can’t keep doing it forever otherwise the route list is just going to become a huge list full of not-really-that-useful routes.

Rode Jungle loop today and thought there was a new powerup drop, couldn’t see an arch though; this was at the location of the start / finish of this course.

Wow zwift way to go. You made a route that’s really just a segment inside a route and then locked it by making it event only forcing anyone that wants the badge to participate in an event they may not be interested in.

Dick move.

Is that really that big of a hardship on you to get the badge? The event will likely have events every hour, and you can just ignore the other people if you don’t care. The route is so short anyways, it’s barely a challenge at all to complete it and you’ve likely already ridden those roads several times before, so adding event only makes it a little more interesting.

You don’t want to get double xp double length power ups and experience new routes with hundreds of people?

Yay?

I don’t think I am alone in the category of: “I wish they would make some new offroad trails.”

What’s the point of the mountain bike in the first place? MTB is for bike handling and skills, and not just for training the legs. But I’m not cycling in the jungle since they released the different rolling resistance for dirt. Just useless imho.

The point of the mountain bike is for dirt and just because you don’t like dirt doesn’t mean the bike for it is useless

Except now gravel bikes with the best gravel wheels are faster than the MTB on dirt now.

This one is missing in the Veloviewer Zwift Insider leaderboard.

So are other event only routes that have a badge. A few are in the leaderboard but doing it as an event won’t match the segment. And some the existing rebel route segment created before the event only route was created will match.

So I purchased a gravel bike and wheels for this and Zwift doesn’t allow me to use them in the ToW? What a fail!

Is there any sign of this being added as a normal route? Not sure why the other rebel routes were added ut not this one?
