“Heart of Montmartre” Route Details (Paris)

Animated Route Map
Animated map provided by ZwiftHacks

The most surprising thing about Heart of Montmartre is that it manages to be the longest route in Paris while skipping an entire section of Paris road!

This route traces three figure-8 laps of the Champs-Élysées, then completes three laps combining the Champs-Élysées and the Montmartre KOM via the Monceau Sprint, before finishing one more lap of the figure-8 Champs. (The road down to the Madeleine is entirely skipped.)

Route Description

Beginning from the Paris start pens, you will ride the standard lead-in around the Jardin des Tuileries on the east end of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, heading up the Champs and through the lap banner, which is the route’s official start and finish line.

From here, ride three laps of a modified version of the Champs-Élysées circuit. (It’s modified in that you ride the Jardin des Tuileries section in the opposite direction, turning the circuit into a sort of figure 8.)

After finishing the third lap of the modified Champs-Élysées circuit, you will begin the first lap of an expanded circuit which includes the Montmartre KOM. This circuit begins with a ride up the Champs-Élysées. A right turn at the Arc de Triomphe takes you out to Parc Monceau and the Monceau Sprint, then up the Montmartre KOM to enjoy a Parisian panorama at the Sacré-Coeur before descending to the Tchou Tchou Sprint. Continue on to the Arc de Triomphe, finish your Champs circuit, and you’ve finished the first lap of the expanded circuit.

Ride that expanded circuit twice more, then you’re almost done! All that’s left is one more lap of the modified Champs-Élysées circuit we began with. That means one last time up the Montée des Champs Elysées climb and one more go at the Lutece Sprint located at its summit. Loop around the Arc, descend the Champs, circle the Jardin des Tuileries, and come through the lap banner. You did it! Félicitations!
