Route Description
Begin from the Normandy start pens, traveling counter-clockwise and turning a quick left onto France’s new roads to take on the Sprinteur Sprint. This is the end of your lead-in, and also serves as the finish line for the route.
You’ll hit the Sprint du Cratère Reverse not long after, then turn left onto France’s older roads, making your way to the Ballon Sprint, then making a right and heading up the zig-zaggy Petit KOM, the only bit of climbing on this route. Perhaps that’s what earned this route the “gentil” name?
Descend the backside of the Petit KOM, then hang a right onto Les Intestins. This twisty, rolling road will keep you on your toes in a TT, and in a race steering can be a big advantage here!
Turning left onto France’s new roads, you’ll hit the cobbles of the long, rising Dos d’Âne Sprint next. Descend the other side, keeping your speed up on the flat roads as you turn left and pass the start pens before turning one final left to hit the Sprinteur Sprint as your finishing effort. Grab that green jersey!
