Zwift has rolled out a new mission for December, available in the game update which is just now being released. Here are the details…
For Runners AND Riders
This new mission is actually two missions–one for runners, one for riders. And you can join both!
One random finisher of each mission will receive a BIG grand prize–entry into a big event in London, plus the spending money to get you there. Super cool!

For Riders
The “Prudential RideLondon Century Mission” requires you to ride 100 total miles during the month of December to unlock the in-game Prudential RideLondon kit.
You’ll also be entered into a drawing to win a full VIP Experience to the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 (including event registration) along with $1,500 USD to help get you there. Sweet prize!

For Runners
The “New Balance Marathon Mission” requires you to run a total of 26.2 miles throughout December to unlock the in-game New Balance Run Club kit.
You’ll also be entered into a drawing to score a bib to the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon as well as $1,500 USD to help get you there. Nice!

How to Join
Once your Zwift install has updated to the latest version, you’ll see the links to join these missions at the top-left of the main join page (just after the pairing screen.)
Runners will see a link to join the running mission, while riders will see the link to join the riding mission. Simples!
For the PRL mission do you have to ride all 100 in London?
Anywhere on Zwift counts.
Do you know if rides completed before signing up (but after the official start of the mission) will be counted? Just curious as due to the delay in the update from Apple I have already ridden almost 30 miles since the start of the mission on December 6 but my app wasn’t updated to yesterday (December 9) and today will be my first ride of the week.
I doubt it. Zwift had some unexpected issues with their Apple releases, apparently–it wasn’t meant to be this much of a delay. You can get in 100 miles before the end of the month though, right?
Easily, but more annoyed that because of the delay with the Apple release we get penalized. It’s more of an issue on the running side since I am trying for both
I rode 16 miles two days ago – the day I signed up but they are not showing up in the fraction out of 100. Is this part of the Apple delay?
Nope. Ride anywhere
This is incorrect. The rides must be done in London for it to count.
I’ve talked to two different tech support agents at Zwift. One said the miles do have to be in London and the other said they didn’t And some of my miles are counting and some aren’t. Who knows.
My rides in Watopia are counting.
My ride in Watopia did not count yesterday – but the only other choice was NY – definitely makes it a tougher challenge if they have to be done on days London is an option.
I haven’t done any rides in London in December but I have 60 miles showing as completed. I have done over 100 already though. I read in another forum that if you contact support after the challenge is over and you have ridden the miles required they will unlock the kit for you.
