It’s rare that Zwift sponsors a Strava Challenge, so when I saw one pop up last week I signed up right away! It’s called the Zwift x World Champs Challenge, and if you haven’t joined it yet, here are the details.
The Challenge
To complete the Challenge, you must ride the same length as the UCI Road World Championship Men’s Elite Road Race in Yorkshire between September 22, 2019-October 5, 2019. That’s 285 km (177 miles), and Zwift rides count as do outdoor rides. You can do it!
Here’s more fine print explaining what types of Strava rides count towards Challenge completion:
GPS and virtual rides both count towards the Challenge goal. Virtual rides are categorized as those that include GPS, distance, elevation, and time data from a simulated route.
Manual entries, e-bike rides, and non-virtual trainer rides will not count toward your Challenge effort. Activity privacy settings must be marked “Everyone” to count towards the Challenge goal.
All activities logged during the challenge period must be uploaded to Strava no later than three days after the challenge ends.
Prizes
There are two tiers of prizes for this Challenge:
- One month free Zwift for those who complete the challenge. Available only to those who are not currently a Zwift subscriber.
- One lucky rider will receive the grand prize: the ultimate indoor setup–Wahoo KICKR, Climb, Headwind, and Training Mat.
