Starting from the Prospect Park start pens, this route completes a figure 8 of the park just like Issendorf Express. The only difference is, the Tornado adds three laps of Grand Army Plaza!

From the start pens, you’ll travel CCW around the Prospect Park loop, riding through the lap banner (which is also your finish line) before turning left onto Center Drive and hitting the Center Sprint.

Next it’s a right to head south on the loop, doing through the Peristyle Sprint Reverse (named for the Peristyle building you’ll also pass). Come around the loop and turn right to once more hit Center Drive and its sprint, then it’s a left to travel north on the loop.

You’ll pass the zoo on your site (look for the seals) and also hit The Hilly KOM, then it’s a right turn to exit the park into Grand Army Plaza.

You’ll complete three full CCW loops of the plaza before turning right to enter Prospect Park once more. Almost there! It’s a slightly downhill 500 meters to the lap banner for the finish.
