    This simple loop is the centerpiece, or perhaps the endcap, of Zwift’s October 2025 New York map expansion. Since Prospect Park was designed by the same landscape architects as Central Park, it’s fitting that Zwift’s New York map begins with Central Park to the north and ends with Prospect Park to the south.

    Route Description

    Events here begin in the Prospect Park start pens, turning right to ride counterclockwise around Prospect Park.

    Pro IRL tip: everyone rides Prospect Park in a CCW direction. If you attempt it clockwise, prepare to be accosted and even escorted out!

    You’ll ride through the lap banner, then continue south, passing the bandstand on your right (Zwift’s upgraded version of the IRL building). When you see Prospect Park Lake on your left, you know you’re getting close to the Peristyle Sprint, named for the Peristyle building on the right next to the sprint’s finish arch.

    Catch your breath after that sprint and continue around the loop. Your next challenge is The Hill KOM, which begins just before the Prospect Park Zoo (look for the seals) appears on your right.

    The loop peaks a the KOM banner, then it’s a slight downhill to the lap banner to finish your circuit.

    Ready for another loop? Now that you’re familiar with it, try a max effort and you may just grab the orange lap leader’s jersey, which is awarded in both directions, for both men and women.
