“Tides and Temples” Route Details (Watopia)
Start flat. Climb. Descend. End flat. Even though the roads themselves twist and turn through a variety of landscapes, this route’s overall profile is pretty straightforward and could make for good racing. Can the climbers get away on the mountain? And if they do, can they stay away to the finish?

Events begin in the coastal start pen with a 2.7km lead-in, or free riders will begin just before the Sasquatch Sprint banner. From there we’ll travel counter-clockwise in a crescent-shaped loop.
First you’ll take on the rolling southern coast road, hitting the Woodland Sprint and passing Mr. Crankies before exiting into Saddle Springs, descending to Ocean Boulevard, then beginning the key climb of the route.
This is 6.6km of fairly steady climbing, averaging 4.6%. It takes you up most of the Epic KOM before you turn left and begin ~9km of descent.
Start with a steep descent of the upper, twisty portion of The Grade. Fly through those big, looping turns, then turn right and continue descending the Itza KOM and Mayan Mountainside KOM roads. Insider note: this is the only route in game hitting these roads in this direction.
A left turn brings you back to the southern coast road, where you’ll remain for the rest of the route. Hit the Stoneway Sprint, Acropolis Sprint, ride through Ciudad La Cumbre, then finish on the Sasquatch Sprint.
