Mostly Ventoux (France) Zwift Segment Details

Mostly Ventoux (France) Zwift Segment Details Header Image

Key Details

  • Length: 17.1 km (10.6 miles)
  • Elevation Gain: 1383 m (4,537‘)
  • Average Gradient: 8.1%
  • Found in France
  • In-Game Name: Mostly Ventoux
  • Strava segment

This segment was created so riders who hit the Ventoux road via the Petit KOM can still get some sort of “credit” for continuing to climb to the top of Ventoux.

The segment, therefore, begins on the main Ventoux road, about 1.5km after the intersection at the top of the Petit KOM. The typical KOM start line isn’t visible in game, but it begins at the #2 marker as shown here:

A cyclist in a gray kit stands beside a bike near a road marker with a mountain icon and the number 2, surrounded by colorful wildflowers and trees under a partly cloudy sky.

The segment ends at the top of Ventoux, at the same KOM arch where the Ventoux KOM ends.

Routes Featuring this KQOM

Route Length Elevation Lead-In
La Reine 22.4 km (13.9 miles) 1201 m (3,940‘) 0.4 km (0.2 miles)
Ven-Top 20.9 km (13.0 miles) 1534 m (5,033‘) 0.2 km (0.1 miles)

A word about accuracy: as much as possible, we’ve used Zwift’s in-game numbers for the segments listed. Strava data may differ slightly.

You have the wrong start point for the segment. It doesn’t start at the top of the Petit Climb. Instead it starts past the function which means you don’t need to ride Petit Climb to complete it and will cover it if you ride Ven-Top

Thank you for sorting it out.

I agree, it is a strange climb in that it doesn’t have an actual start line. It’s only really useful if you ride LaReine and decide to ride to the top of the climb. If you are riding Ven-Top then it’s a bit irrelevant.

as you’ve created a new segment you will need to update VeloViewer as it’s linked to the old segment.

Eric,
I rode La REine today and went through the CHalet Reynard Banner thinking that was the end of La REine and thus all i needed to ride. The route hasb’t populated my Velocity Viewer LongKOM page. ANy thoughts?

thank you for your timely reply. Here is what I rode yesterday,

I think the lack of clarity revolves around the end point. I was under the impression that to populate the VeloViewer KOM Long Mostly Ventoux ride I needed to ride through the Chalet Rennard, alone and not the top of Ventoux. Is it simply I didn’t continue to the Ventoux banner?

That’s interesting – when I rode Ven-Top (well….Ven-10 and continued to the top) and got e.g. “Mont Ventoux KOM”, “Ventoux Half KOM” and “Chalet Reynard KOM” registered/matched, I did not get a match for “Mostly Ventoux KOM” and thought that was because it included Petit KOM. But now apparently it doesn’t.
I guess I need to run the “crop ride” trick and see if a re-match helps.

I have the same issue, my Ven-Top ride does not include this segment and so I can’t get the tick on the VeloViewer Rebel Route tab. 😥I’ve refreshed the achievements on the ride several times, but the segment does not come up…

The “crop ride” trick worked for me. I just removed the last 5 meters of the ride and then it was matched.
