Route Description

Route profile by ZwiftHub – the place to plan and track your route achievements!
This point-to-point route begins in downtown Watopia, heading over to Jarvis Island by way of the Volcano. You will complete one clockwise loop of Jarvis before heading across the land bridge and up the Dirty Sorpressa to the Italian Villas.
Ride up the rollers from the Villas and past the waterfall, then descend to the Marina and past the Spruce Goose before hitting the base of the Epic KOM Reverse. Climb this twisty leg-burner, cross the bridge, then take a right to head toward the dusty Mayan Jungle.
You will cross the rope bridge and descend through the Jungle before taking a left to head up the Mayan and then Itza KOM. You may be relieved when you finish the Itza, but your climbing has just begun!
Take a left onto The Grade, finishing the windy second half of this tough climb, then turn right and grab a breather as you descend the Epic KOM.
Before crossing the suspension bridge, hit the brakes and take a left onto the Epic KOM bypass road. This is your last big of flat/descent before the big final climb.
Turn left at the end of the bypass, and the big finish begins. You’re climbing the unclimbed portion of the Epic KOM Reverse that you started earlier in the ride. Up up up, all the way to the banner, and you’re done! Enjoy your descent.

Weird to not go up the Radio Tower too.
Ssshhhhhhhhhh 😆
It hurts enough without the Radio Tower
It sorta does… starts at halfway up radio tower to the top.
Radio tower is not used enough. There are many routes which pass but don’t climb it unfortunately. It’s such a fun little climb to add on
I think an issue with Radio Tower is the grade is so steep it puts a lot of focus on trainer resistance,. gear availability, whether you’re using virtual shifting, etc.
I ride 100% resistance with conventional gearing because I want to emulate outdoor riding. But to be competitive, I’d have to reduce trainer resistance with Radio Tower. I think it’s great for rides but for mixed terrain races the Epic KOM finish is probably better. The race should be about strategy, tactics, and fitness, more than Zwiftcraft or how much and how recently you spent on hardware.
Similarly the Zwift games stages use a single fixed power-up to reduce the impact of those on the result.
I raced this course yesterday and it was a great race: en early break of 2 then 3 got away before Jarvis and that determined the tactics the rest of the race. It was more than a simple watt-fest.
At 0% Trainer difficulty everything feels the same lol.
This looks like a good ‘un!
Thanks Zwift for a longish route with a summit finish! Pushing on the final ascent feels so much more rewarding than a flat sprint! =)
Did this route yesterday, completed 1hr 46min (47yo female 110lb 5’3). Really enjoyed it! Varied enough to keep it interesting and challenging. Finishing on the climb was pretty rewarding.
Way to go , I saved this for last and making sure as always , to ride the 1st time on any course , not to race it, but to finish it . I know I will not be alone . Might send a message before I start if anyone wants to ride the course with me .
That’s exactly how I rode it this time. I rode it to finish it, not race it. But kudos to those who were strong enough to race it! I did much better than I thought. And I continued riding after the completion of the route. I hope you rode the route already, but if not, you’re gonna do great!
2.5hrs for my first go. The climbing is where it hurts, 90kg.
Yep I’m 94 kg it’s going to hurt 😞
I did it last night to check it out before racing it at the end of the month. I’ve done al 5 routes now.
I did this route a few days ago. I like how it builds the hills from short to tall. It’s quite a challenge for me (not a climber). It’s going to be a fun* ZG25 final stage for everyone.
*Type-2 fun
Oh crap. I pride myself with being able to kick enough sneak into category A, even at 50+. But this route makes me dread riding in A… I am so getting dropped.
What Would be the best bike/wheel setup here? I guess full climbing, isn’t it?
All the Zwift Games races they equalise the bikes so it doesn’t make a difference in those, but if I were choosing for a different ride it depends on what your strengths are. You want to stay in the group as long as you can but first few climbs are draft-able and then you have everything in between. I’d go for a aero-climber, not full climb set-up, personally.
Go to zwifterbikes.com.
Input rider specs, then search the route you are looking for. “They” will tell you which bike and wheel setup is best for you on every route.
Is the strava segment matching properly? I’ve seen rides that look like they should match but don’t.
hardest course in Zwift i have finished lol my legs did not have the grade and the epic kom in them today but i msnaged to finish and collapse lol
