Route Description
Beginning from the Jungle start pens, we get to enjoy the longest descent of the day as we zip across the bridge and down to the Marina over the first 2 kilometers. Then the work begins!
We make our way up to The Esses, whose rollers we’ll ride over to the Volcano. Come around the Volcano and head to Jarvis, where we’ll ride nearly two full laps. That means two attempts at the Jarvis KOM, two Jarvis Sprints, and one official complete Jarvis lap in case you want to chase the orange jersey.
Those climbs were just a warmup, though. The big finish is just up the road! Leave the Jarvis circuit to quickly find yourself heading up the Volcano KOM, which is the finishing climb and the reason this route is named what it’s named. Good luck!

ARGH this looks great. Why oh why do these event only routes have to be point to point.. especially with a Volcano finale.
Hard to have a Volcano finale on a loop route…unless you want to start off with a lead in up the Volcano I guess!
I’m game 😈
Zwift are getting a bit stinghy with the XP for the route badge, we used to get 20XP/km for ththis route we’re only getting 12.5 (300xp / 24km) ?
Yeah, that’s a bit goofy, isn’t it? My guess is it’s an error on their side, not a purposeful decision.
Or depending on how big the lead-in is. Richmond Rollercoaster is only 100XP even though you have to ride almost 20km to complete the badge.
Looks like Zwift updated it to 475 XP, after I told them it was wrong… after you flagged it. Well done!
